Already???

We know what you’re thinking with this sale: Is Meh really starting its gift push? Now? Like, when we’re still weeks away from Halloween?

And the answer to that is: no, absolutely not! Or, not exactly. Or, not entirely? Or, yes and no. As in: yes.

Look, this is something we have going for us. We can launch a sale in mid-October that’s clearly meant to be a gift without it feeling weird. Why? Because we’re an online deal-a-day site. That means: no trees, no inflatable snowmen, no garlands, no Mariah, none of the traditionally holly and/or jolly stuff that people always complain about when a brick-and-mortar store trots it out “too early.”

In other words, we don’t have to sell the spirit; we just have to sell something you can buy and then stash away until December. Then, come the actual holiday season, you don’t have to spend your days frantically shopping. Instead, you can focus on decorating cookies, sipping mulled wine, and watching big-city lawyers fall for small-town handymen on the Lifetime Network.

And an RC car is always a rad gift, by the way. Like, there’s a reason they’ve dominated Christmas morning for decades. They require a lot less time and effort to get up and running than other big gifts. There’s no setting up a profile, not much to build. Unwrap it, unbox it, make sure the battery is charged, and you’re golden.

For this reason, Laegendary markets it primarily to adults. Though, to us, this feels a little silly. Sure, it wouldn’t be great for your five-year-old. But a fourteen-year-old who loves to tinker with stuff? They really wouldn’t enjoy the challenge of something this serious? Hell, it might be the perfect gift for you and your kid to bond!

The problem is, most serious stuff like this comes with, you guessed it, a seriously high price tag. For example, this thing runs for about 200 bucks over on Amazon. But we’ve got it for just 70.
