Yuletide, Then You-Time
All holiday season, it’s about everyone else.
It’s about the potluck at work, and could you bring some ribbon, and maybe a desert, oh, and also a main dish, and don’t forget that Gregory can only eat eat egg whites, even the yolks give him a rash.
It’s about shopping for your parents, your siblings, your kids, your friends, their kids, and don’t forget, your friend Dave’s son Timothy likes dinosaur toys, but now that he’s old enough to get online, he read an article about veganism, and so he only likes herbivores now, and if you give him a model of a carnivore, you’re in for a lecture.
It’s about traveling home to see your family, with a bunch of strangers who are also traveling home to see their families, and who all think they’re the only ones who are traveling home to see their families, and so they’re crowded around the gate agent because they’re nervous about how the 20 minute delay will affect their next flight because they only have a 9 hour layover in Chicago, whereas you actually have a 15 minute layover, and really need to figure this out, because there’s, like, only one flight a month to the podunk airport you’re going to.
And so, now, it’s over. And it’s time to celebrate someone else: you! With a drone built for taking selfies.
Okay, you don’t need to celebrate yourself by taking a bunch of pictures of yourself. That’s kind of what a crazy person does. But, as we covered last time, calling it a “selfie drone” was probably some dumb decision made by a marketing guy somewhere, once upon a time. Really, it’s just a good drone. It flies easier and is more stable than a lot we’ve tried.
Which means, it would be a great drone to take with you on a solo adventure, like hiking or walking along the beach. Because, let’s be honest, you need that: a little vacation… after your “Christmas vacation.”
