The Fool's Errand: an April Meh-rathon
“What is it?” Bob asked.
“There’s something going on here,” said the man on the phone, lowering his voice. “Something… I don’t want to use the word sinister… but… well, I could use a man on the outside. Someone I can trust to help me bring this story to light. Someone like you, Mr. Anton. So what do you say? Are you ready to experience the most exciting day of your life?”
Just then, Bob checked the clock on the microwave. “Oh darn, it’s later than I thought! I gotta get ready for work. Thanks for checking in.” And with that, he hung up.
