After some time, the apprentice he called Darth Smartypants grew dissatisfied with the knowledge of Goofus the Unwise. Many things the apprentice believed to be integral Sith teachings were foreign to this supposed master. His techniques were flawed, and his actions were rash and unsubtle. His very existence should be considered a hazard for the preservation of the centuries-old Grand Plan.
The apprentice thus deemed Goofus to be nothing more than a charlatan and set off to forge his own path.
He likely expected Goofus to be upset by the condemnation, but Goofus couldn’t not have been more proud. For at that moment, he was finally free. He was no longer the one with all the responsibility.
After so many years, Goofus could simply be.
