Even the biggest, most spacious vehicle on the market is still small, in the grand scheme of things. Like, remember the ridiculously huge Ford Excursion? At the end of the day, that thing’s interior was closer in size to a coat closet than a master bedroom.

And sure, you could adjust it, but then again, the car is not just a small room; it’s a small room made of glass. Thus, when you turn the heater down by 2 clicks, it drops roughly 45 degrees inside.
Same thing happens in the summer, only in the other direction. You go from sweaty in the driveway, to pleasantly cool a mile later, to full-blown tundra when you’re halfway to work.
So, how do you set the temperature to maintain itself perfectly? The answer is simple: you don’t. Instead, you get one of these.
Set it down on the seat, plug it into a USB port, and voila. It warms or cools your frigid or sweaty butt. Which is nice. But again, the real benefit is you don’t have to rely solely on your car’s vents to do the job. You can set the heater or AC somewhere in the middle and let the seat cushion keep you from getting uncomfortable.
In conclusion: you should buy one and warm your butt up so your car’s heating system can take it easy this winter. Then, come summer, enjoy a cool seat wherever you go.
