Contigo Monroe Autoseal Travel Mug
- 12 oz. capacity is no match for your super-sized American appetite
- One-handed operation leaves your other hand free to text while driving
- Full stainless body keeps beverages too hot or cold
- Cup-shaped, like a cup
- Some of the colors are a little gross, but we’ll let you decide which ones
I need a cup, not a sculpture.
Things I need a travel mug to do: keep coffee warm. Fit in my car cup holder. Let me drink it with one hand.
Things I don’t need a travel mug to do: curve. Undulate. Bulge. Force me to question my conception of what a cup is. Drip. Spill. Advertise a local contractor or medical group.
The Contigo Monroe does all of the first list and none of the second. And if you get it from us, it does it all for six bucks.
It’s just an Autoseal lid, a vacuum-insulated double wall, and a full stainless steel body in the same gently tapered cylindrical form that has delivered us our coffee lo, these many decades. We like sculpture too. We just don’t want to drink our coffee out of it.
