"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

The Soundflow Soundboard sounded like a bunch of BS to us. The story goes that somehow, just by setting your phone down on these two little plates, you can amplify the music, phone call, or whatever other audio your phone is playing. No wires. No wireless pairing. The sound just “flows” right through the speakers. Yeah, right.

No, really. It worked. Surprisingly loudly. It’s especially great as a speakerphone. And it was just as easy as advertised, really reminding us what a pain the ass Bluetooth can be, with its pairing and mis-pairing and re-pairing. The only pairing you do with this is to set your phone in the right spot. It’s a juggalo miracle!

And like magnets, it’s more amazing if you don’t know exactly how it works. The official site isn’t especially helpful. Nor is the promo video, unless you find kaleidoscopes of dancing Soundboards enlightening. Eventually we were able to gain a rough understanding of the science behind the Soundflow Soundboard.

You know what? We’re not going to tell you.

We don’t want to ruin the miracle. We want you to try it for yourself and be astonished, like we were. Astonished that, for once, a product just does what it’s supposed to do. Astonished that it hasn’t yet rendered wired portable speakers obsolete, and taken a big helping of Bluetooth’s lunch. Astonished that it could be that simple. We want you to share the same sense of wonder we felt when we first experienced the magic of the Soundflow Soundboard.

In return, you have to promise not to explain magnets to us, OK?
