It's amazing how stupid this dumba$$ company is to alienate customers by displaying its one-sided politics (first w/Trump then Mit and now this) which has now been confirmed. Would be pretty crummy being an employee for this company and finding out they bring politics into the workplace as this is a known ethical HR issue in any reputable company today. Anyway, if they want politics then here's some balance as they'll never get another dime out of me.

We used to get failed hard drives back from customers going back to the 5, 10, and 20MB 5-1/4 drives and 130MB full height drives. Talk about magnets! The fixed magnets that the head coils operated against were very strong. The 5-1/4" magnets, you can put on the front and one on the back of your hand, and they'll stay. The big honkers from the large drive... they would squeeze your hand so hard it hurt and you'd get a bruise. If they ever directly stuck to eachother you'd need a heavy vise or press to get them apart, and were as likely to break the glue/rivets holding the magnets to their metal attaching plates as actually separating the magnets.
The little weenie magnets from 3.5 and laptop drives are still pretty decent but nowhere near as strong, and the newer the drive the weenier the magnets. Get them now, folks! SSDs are killing off the rotating rust market and with that the easy access to ass-kicking magnets
