4-Pack: PressDome Vacuum Seal Plate Covers
- ‘10" and low profile’ sounds like a Tinder bio but it’s actually just a spec about this Chef Concepts Press Dome.
- It keeps food fresh and looks like a little bio-dome in the process, which is a win-win.
- Amazon says it’s dishwasher safe, which makes sense. Says it’s also microwave safe, which… Probably not.
- It’s spill proof which is a relief, because a leaky vacuum would be an anomaly of science.
- Model: K39054122, which I believe is also the handle of an anonymous Twitter user who happens to think highly of the 76ers’ front office.
Another Vacuum
Where do you spend more money: at the grocery store or at a restaurant? For me, it’s probably the grocery store. But it’s also not the grocery store. Because yes, I’m shelling out more cash, but I’m buying food for the week, so it will, in the end, come out to a lower cost per meal.
This is the problem with going out to eat. Even at a cheaper restaurant, you’re still spending more than it costs to cook for yourself. That being said, the price goes down if you can take a single meal and get multiple meals out of it, which is entirely possible, given that restaurant portions are often bonkers, but not entirely enticing, as leftovers do not always age well.
So far, I’ve presented basic facts, but they’ve all been leading to this bold statement: what we’re selling here today is not just a vacuum-sealing Press Dome; it is a device that can turn a restaurant into the grocery store.
Because if you can actually vacuum-seal your leftovers and keep them fresh and tasty, then that one order of pad thai or spaghetti Bolognese can suddenly be your dinner for three or maybe even four nights depending on how heaping the helping. Thus, you can go out to dinner more often and explore more local restaurants! Hell, at just $15, these things will pay for themselves in a week.
Now, will they provide you with the necessarily self-control not to eat the entire meal so that you actually have leftovers?
