“He told us that forever ago,” said Horner.
Jane’s arms flopped to her side. “And everyone was just cool with that? Nobody thought to, like, try and do anything? There’s a holding cell on this ship for a reason.”
“Thirteen, twelve, eleven,” continued the countdown.
“We don’t know where anything is in this ship, remember?” Laney said.
“We’re not even supposed to be here,” Horner said.
