12- or 16-Pack: BUBS Swedish Candy
Our Take
- An assorted 12-pack (banana toffee and raspberry lemon sour skulls) or a 16-pack of raspberry sour skulls
- We just wanted to clarify from last time: while some BUBS candy you see in the store is made in Mexico, our stock is actually from Sweden
- Best by October 2026 to January 2027
- Are they Mac-compatible: Unfortunately, they can’t fit in a USB-C port so no
Your Take
A Little Less
When is a good deal not a good deal because it’s too much of a good deal?
That was basically the question posed by our previous sale of these BUBS Swedish Candies. We sold an assorted 40-pack for 40 bucks, and according to our stats, you gobbled up 266 of them. Which is to say: 10,640 bags of candy?!?!
Which is a lot.
That said, according to the comments, we could possibly have sold more… if we’d sold less.
At least, that’s what @werehatrack said:
Among the things I don’t need to buy today is an assortment of candies costing $40, particularly given that 30% of them are a flavor I don’t want.
And what @jerminate said:
These look good, but I don’t need to be buying 40 3oz bags of candy! If they cut the necessary order amount in half, then maybe…
And what @pony said:
I just can’t bring myself to spend $40 on candy I’ve never tried before, even if some of it is in skull shapes. If it was a lot of 20 for $20, I’d be a lot more tempted.
And what @cory206sea said:
$40 is too much to drop on a single order of Meh candy. Especially when it “expires” in a few months. I’d be in at $20 for 20.
(On this last point: cory’s right to add some quotes there. These do have best-by dates ranging from October 2026 to January 2027, but they’re not going to go rancid. Do we recommend letting them sit around until 2029? No. But they’ll be fine to eat for a while.)
Over those last three comments, you might start to see one unified request: a 20-pack for 20 dollars. So what did we do? We took this feedback into consideration… and put together a sale of 12- or 16-packs for 14 dollars. Because we appreciate your input, but also YOU’RE NOT THE BOSS OF US!
And, to the first commenter, we separated some of the flavors out. You can get a 12-pack of the banana toffee and raspberry foam skulls, or a 16-pack of the sour skulls.
In terms of how those flavors taste, we recommend reading @otherstalin’s review from the last sale (of the banana toffee and raspberry-lemon ones; they hadn’t tried the raspberry sour skulls yet). The quick-hitter version from them is that the banana toffee has okay flavor and an amazing texture that “doesn’t get stuck in your teeth,” whereas the raspberry-lemon is texturally equivalent to Swedish fish, but the flavor is great.
Of course, by now, some more of you will have tried these, so definitely share your thoughts in the comments.
As for those of you above who commented that you’d buy these if we sold smaller packs, you are not legally required to do so. Sorry, we don’t make the rules.
