@phendrick@PooltoyWolf I wouldn’t say the snail joke was better but these types of jokes work better when spoken.
Example:
Person 1 - How does a turtle with no legs cross the freeway?
Person 2 - I don’t know, how?
Person 1 - You take the F out of free and the F out of way.
Person 2 - There is no F in way.
@PooltoyWolf@yakkoTDI I like this one much better than Meh’s.
But it does sound familiar; I think someone, maybe Harrison Ford, told it on one of the late night shows many years ago.
@PooltoyWolf@yakkoTDI [How come I can remember something like this from many years ago, but cannot remember where I put my car keys two hours ago or my glasses 10 minutes ago?]
@hchavers
“Oven safe up to 500°F / coating and glass lids 400°F”
I would’ve thought the non-stick coating on the pan went into the oven with the rest of the pan.
@hchavers@phendrick It is poorly written sentence. It should read more like “Coating on pans is oven safe up to 500°F and the glass lids are oven safe up to 400°F”
@Comedian@hchavers@phendrick@robson@yakkoTDI I mean wouldn’t you want the pan to handle more. I can’t imagine needing a lid on something in a 400+ oven on a pan. I think my dutch oven is only 450.
I have a larger set of these (that I paid ~$400 for) and I wouldn’t buy again. The ceramic coating loses its nonstick quality all too quickly, and chips at the edges of the pot. I could live with those things, but the pots and pans are stupid heavy. Like, two hands for a 10 inch frypan heavy. I have been buying Ninja Neverstick by the piece and so far it is vastly preferable, both for nonstick properties and for the huge difference in weight.
@Amazonite same here, I don’t hate my swilling ceramic pans, but I recently bought a forged in fire mini pan and it is sooo much better that I think I’m going to sell off the ones that I rarely used and get new stuff
I buy my nonstick pans at a restaurant supply store (GFS). The way I abuse them, they last about two years before I need to replace them, meaning eggs start to stick , and at $10-15 each, it’s totally worth it.
@meaganmichelle Agreed, I was super pissed when I found out the pans I’d paid so much for weren’t even the premium set. Those are like seven- or nine-ply. Bleh
I just bought a set of all clad hard anodized, and for a minute I was kicking myself since these sounded great. Looking at the comments made me feel better though

Time to start my new career as a pan handler.
Well this deal didn’t pan out for me to want to buy.
Cookware, really? No chargers? What about a pan that you can plug your phone into while you’re cooking??
@mcemanuel If you use these on an induction cooktop, you can throw your phone in and charge it wirelessly.
@mcemanuel If you put your phone into the pan while it’s heating, I’m sure it will gain plenty of energy.
As a proud Nintendo fanboy and Switch owner, I’m ashamed to admit I don’t get the joke.
@PooltoyWolf Any S will do = N E S will do
@yakkoTDI Oh my God lmao, of course it needed to be spelled out
@PooltoyWolf @yakkoTDI Thanks, I’ll be able to sleep tonight. (Thought maybe it was a play on ‘ass’, but that got me nowhere.)
@phendrick @yakkoTDI I was getting the same vibe lmao
@phendrick @PooltoyWolf This jokes ranks up the with the snail joke in Trading Places.
@phendrick @yakkoTDI A classic.
@PooltoyWolf @yakkoTDI That snail joke was a lot better, IMO. (But still not good enough for me to have remembered it from the movie.)
@phendrick @PooltoyWolf I wouldn’t say the snail joke was better but these types of jokes work better when spoken.

@phendrick @yakkoTDI I like that one too

@PooltoyWolf @yakkoTDI Aha, found it!
I remember I had to replay it several times before I understood why it was funny, because of the censorship editing, but lip-reading helped me out!
@PooltoyWolf @yakkoTDI

Titanium! Perfect for backpacking with my light weight 20 quart air fryer!
Who Zwilling to tell me if these are good or not?
@msayler The cookware is Zwilling, but the flesh is steak.
When is the duck ready?
If you can’t take the heat, don’t buy these pots.

@hchavers @phendrick @yakkoTDI so the lids can’t stand the heat?
@hchavers @phendrick @robson @yakkoTDI Nor the truth.

@ayryq Thank you for that; its annoying to see apostrophes misused - or omitted.
@rpstrong Your welcome
@ayryq Oops, I meant to say apostrophe’s.

I bought the Cuisinart 13-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware last July. They’ve been great so I’m not in the market for any more pots and pans.

Nonstick?
Bleh, not meh!
Anyone know if these are made in Germany or China? If these are from the line made in China, it’s not worth it.
@meaganmichelle the price comparison links say China
@meaganmichelle Agreed, I was super pissed when I found out the pans I’d paid so much for weren’t even the premium set. Those are like seven- or nine-ply. Bleh
