@DrunkCat sometimes you do have to opt-in. by opting in, you agree that you won't bring your own lawsuit against them outside of the class action. at least, that's what i remember when i've had to opt-in for other class action stuff.
[Seriously not a joke] I once got some kind of class-action payout check from eBay for exactly 10 cents. It was something related to eBay Motors apparently.
I went to look at the office where my 2 cent check should have been to take a pic and they took it down in the last remodel and put it in storage . . . apparently, I really don't pay close enough attention to interior decor.
@FroodyFrog I'm surprised those a-holes didn't offer a 10% discount on a future sale commission charge. Seems like that is pretty typical in these things.
Good thing the judge forced them to pay you cold hard money! ;-)
And certainly the class-chasing (a just as slimy form of ambulance-chasers) attorneys got no less than $5-10 million, right?
I once participated in a class action suit against what is now About.com (it was the Miningco.com when I wrote for them), not expecting anything to come out of it. I got over $1,400. But two cents is cool, too. ;)
53 cents.
A million space bucks?
KuoH
$10 gift card to Starbucks
One free ride on NJ Transit.
Don't you usually have to opt-out of those things?

(note: i'm not a lawyer)
$1.47
Oh it's killing me.
$0.03
I just received a check for a class action against LinkedIn: $16. I'll take it.
I think I've received others for $5 and less.
The lawyers say you owe them?
My guess: $6.13.
.01 and you should frame it.

@Starblind Seriously? Are you joking?
@MrMark [Seriously not a joke] Seriously, not a joke.
How long do we have to wait before you tell us?!?!?
@mehybe is this another guessing game?
4 hours?
Sixty billion double dollars
I was gonna wait until later, which is when I will hopefully regain my sanity from something unrelated, but eh.
2 measly cents!
Unless I deposit I it with an app or when I pass a bank, it's not even worth the time or effort.
If you wanna hear my 2 cents about it...
@FroodyFrog On the plus side, that's an awesome prop.
@FroodyFrog try selling the check on eBay, maybe someone will buy it for the novelty of it. Be sure to charge them shipping for the stamp!
@FroodyFrog My guess is it cost them at least $5 to process that two cent check. Not counting attorneys' fees.
I have a check from a class action settlement (eBay motors) for the same amount from a couple of years ago, now framed on my wall.
Here's a guy that got a "single red cent" check from the same settlement which I got my two cents . . .

Wonder what else I'm missing and don't know it.
EPIC CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT PRANK 2015 GONE WRONG (GONE SEXUAL!!!) 2016
Seriously though, between the time, ink, paper and postage, I'd say the actual check cost exponentially more than it's written for heh
Maybe next time they'll save the money and just text you a poop emoji.
@Chops
I don't care, i participated as a joke tbh.

@RedOak
If you want my two cents about it, most probably.
