@heartny@narfcake For me, shopping in an actual store (aside from the grocery store, which I love) is worse than any dreadful weather. Especially a mall. About 15 minutes in a mall and I start getting short of breath.
@Durago@DVDBZN@thismyusername Rainy days are the best, irl and in Stardew Valley. IRL because it’s a break from the hellish heat of most of the year (and I just love rain), and in Stardew Valley because it’s your chance to upgrade your watering can and you don’t have to spend half your day watering crops.
@thismyusername Ugh, I hate those ones. They take up way too much room. I’d rather water by hand than have my farm filled up with those things. I usually don’t build any sprinklers until I get iridium…which means a lot of hand watering.
Are you people made of sugar or something? Get out there! Run your errands. Have lunch with your friends. Go catch a movie. I promise, you’re not going to melt.
I’VE GOT NEWS FOR YOU, I’M ALREADY OUT THERE!!! WAY OUT THERE!!! I WON’T LET A LITTLE RAIN RUIN MY WEEK OF CAMPING IN THE WILDERNESS WHILE AVOIDING THE IRS!!! AND SURE, YOU’VE GOT A CRANK LIGHT THERE, BUT HOWABOUTADDING A RADIO?!?!?
depends what “dreadful” means. it’s been dreadful here with a heat advisory because of triple digit feels like temps and tropics level dew points.
our window a/c can’t really keep up and there’s no a/c in my kitchen or bath so mostly the best you can do is sit on the couch in your underwear drinking ice water with an ice pack between your thighs waiting for the weather to change.
but rain? snow? thunderstorms? now you’re talking. that’s the good stuff.
I love foul weather! I will spend the day inside being giddy, or running around outside enjoying it because I’m nuts. Then I go back in and enjoy whatever I feel like while watching it rain/snow/blow/whatever outside.
At one point in my wildly varied life, I was living in a compound working every day that ended in “Y” with one day off a month. We had satellite TV but since it was springtime, it seemed that on my days off it was always raining so no TV. Boo.
That fence isn’t going to build itself…
Ugh! I wanted to go shopping! I guess I’ll get caught up on sleep instead.
@heartny Online stores exist, y’know.
@narfcake Not the same experience, especially when you have the day off

what… what is a “day off”?
@thismyusername
It’s not dreadful in Stardew Valley.
@DVDBZN @thismyusername You don’t know that, it could be! Stardew Valley has rainy days too.

@Dweezle Dweezle Dweezle, it’s all about the sprinklers… seriously… even the 4 spigot ones!

“Hell yes! I’m going out to enjoy the weather.”
(By “dreadful” I’m assuming you mean rain and nice, dark clouds?)
@Dweezle this, 100%. Gonna go for a walk and get soaked and cold. It’s going to be wonderful.
The rain puts me to sleep. Wake me for dinner. Wait, what time is it?
@hchavers Love to sleep through a storm! The darker and the noisier, the better.
Where is ‘outside’? Don’t think I’ve been…

/giphy Great sleeping weather!
It Never Rains in Southern California
@merrybill I thought for sure it was going to be this video

@AlexJones News flash. No radio reception in the wilderness. Your store is useless ()
/giphy it’s like rain on your wedding day
@alphabetress A free ride when you already paid.
@lseeber It’s the good advice that you just didn’t take.
@alphabetress The correct lyric is “It’s like ray-eeeeeeeee-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain on your wedding day”
@cinoclav @lseeber and who would’ve thought…it figgerrrrrrrrs
Hang out inside, open the Windows, let that gloomy weather in! Not so bad a couple times a month. Gets annoying after more than two days though.
/giphy gloomy weather
@tnhillbillygal I’ve never been happier in my life than the times we’ve had a straight week of “gloomy” weather.
Get a few things done while I watch some tv.
It’s not my day off and it’s absolutely dreadful inside. A/C at work was down and it’s 80 degrees in here. It’s causing havoc with the equipment.

Back to sleep for me

You’ve got the day off and it’s absolutely dreadful outside…
yeah, sounds about right…
