So many of my gifts (all?) to my adult children are from Meh., they got tired of me shipping them stuff, so we'll see how it goes over being delivered in person
@curtise Eek. Don't remind me. On the bright side, I just got this years Chanukah present for myself. (Now to work on my birthday gifts. After that, I get to spend some time working on next Chanukah)
I still have about 20 dozen cookies to bake, and 8 batches of Christmas Crack to fuck up. After that? Play Santa around town, go to dr appts, get rolls ready for the Christmas Eve dinner we're going to, then Christmas, which is morning here, afternoon at FIL's, evening at MIL's. BUT - I did get my family's stuff shipped out on time, so I have that going for me.
So... yellow. I'd say I'm busy as shit, but it's not stressful... yet!
Getting ready to jump on plane in couple hours. Not ready to leave yet. Yikes. After that, it will be all good. Have my Fuku backpack ready to go, so if you are going through OHR today, that's me.
I may have posted this here before. My wife and split up the Christmas shopping approximately 70 / 30 . (I get the 70% ) Like every year, I have had my portion bought and wrapped since early November. As always, we go through this ridiculous charade where she repeatedly rejects my offer to help with her share. Sometime on December 23, having still not stated her shopping, she will break down and ask for my help. If I am lucky, I will not have to wrap my own gift.
@DrWorm Yup, you've mentioned. Makes me laugh every time. At this point, I'm surprised you don't just do the shopping and then when she asks for help on the 23rd, throw a bunch of gifts at her with some wrapping paper...
@sohmageek - Here! Seriously, it snowed pretty heavily in my corner of Washington for about an hour today. Not sticking yet, but still . . . it snowed!
@looseneck Should I also send a rake so you can make a path through your house? Never mind, that's why you have a house cleaner-- and that's what started this whole conversation. Peace.
I bought 3 of these quad-copters the first time they went on sale, one for me, one for my dad, and one went to a white elephant party. I just bought one more for my little brother, but I still have 3 sisters to shop for, and no idea what to get them.

Only 368 more shopping days left before Chanukah...

@curtise @FroodyFrog Yes aren't we glad it is later next year. But I still have Christmas this year to worry about too!
@readnj
Gotta love leap years, gives us another
2,592,000 seconds to procrastinate.
Uh, so what level of panic does Purple denote?
@narfcake Purple is cool. It never panics.
0% panic here, Everything that I need to get is either here or on its way.
Not really feeling it this year though
No worries, gotta work.
Xmas panic level = Meh

@Thumperchick Well, you just wore me out.
@Barney and here I am, unable to sleep... still not baking cookies... this is going to end up in Orange real quick.
Oh! Christmas Crack is matzoh crack, but for Christians! http://www.onceuponachef.com/2011/04/chocolate-toffee-matzo-crack.html
@Trin looks like it! I bet the Matzo has a better crunch to it!
@Thumperchick Depends on what kind it is, and if it's fresh.
Slightly improved, now that i have more quadcopters on the way!
Gotta clean, gotta cook. Hate, hate, hate cleaning. Enjoy cooking. At an orangey level.
@emilyap I hired my friend to clean my house every week. Now all I have nothing to do on the weekends - it's heaven.
@looseneck I think I hate you. :)
@Barney No you don't - you loooooove me :)
@looseneck Silly me, I get so confused.
Getting ready to jump on plane in couple hours. Not ready to leave yet. Yikes. After that, it will be all good.

@DrWorm Wow- you had to wrap your own gift(s) before? That takes awkward to a new level, especially if it happened more than once.
@DrWorm Yup, you've mentioned. Makes me laugh every time. At this point, I'm surprised you don't just do the shopping and then when she asks for help on the 23rd, throw a bunch of gifts at her with some wrapping paper...
Where is the snow?!?!
@sohmageek
Idaho.
@FroodyFrog you are? snicker
@sohmageek
No, I'm in NY. The snow is in Idaho.
@sohmageek Flagstaff. Really. AZ got our winter.
@sohmageek It's gonna be 70 on Christmas! Who wants to join me on the beach?
@looseneck Now I know I REALLY hate you.
@sohmageek - Here! Seriously, it snowed pretty heavily in my corner of Washington for about an hour today. Not sticking yet, but still . . . it snowed!
@Barney But you made me love purple again.
@looseneck Does not negate the fact that 1) It will not be 70 where I am at and 2) We have no beaches. Bah Humbug!
@Barney If I go down the shore this weekend, I will bring you some sand and seashells.
@looseneck If you do that, I guess I would just have to send some highly collectable crap to add to your hubby's collection. Just say'n...
@Barney I'll take my chances :)
@looseneck Should I also send a rake so you can make a path through your house? Never mind, that's why you have a house cleaner-- and that's what started this whole conversation. Peace.
@Barney I'll be nice and won't send you anything. Merry Christmas!
@looseneck And to you!

Blackwatch Plaid, but only because I have two final papers due December 23. After that, it's all post-Hanukkah and Chinese food festivities.
