@Kyeh - you didn’t use it on the pole wire, anyway I never did, there’d be a switchbox off that somewhere and you’d plug the handset into it to check the local connection, and then at the jack inside the new location for the specific number. I only did residential jobs, though, so it may have had other uses.
Oh, please. Today is the fifth day of Christmas, featuring five golden rings(neck pheasants). Piskies everywhere are still singing carols and celebrating. Don’t rush things.
@ItalianScallion I’m curious how cold brew tastes, is it that different than hot brewd coffee?
I’ve got so many Meh things I put away for christmas gifts and I didn’t even remember about them until yesterday! Now, to figure out where my guy put the darn box! He’s got this terrible habit of bringing everyday useful items to the storage unit, now that we’ve finally got one! (I honestly think he just likes going there ) And I’ve got the terrible problem of OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND!
@Lynnerizer Cold brew is usually smooth without the acidity and “bite” that hot coffee can have. I always make cold brew quite strong (I love a good espresso!) and I think that’s pretty typical. You could make it very strong and use it as a concentrate.
I have a compulsion to collect coffee paraphernalia, especially portable espresso makers of various types, because I love espresso. The Dorothy Rapid Cold Brewer is one of my best coffee maker purchases; it works really well and it was only $10. Defintely not just meh.
@ItalianScallion@Lynnerizer I use it to make tea and lemonade. It’s a very low-power, low-noise automated stirrer (just read the instructions: you have to at least initially build up to an optimal stir speed instead of jamming it to high from the get-go)
I set it, forget it, and come back to a delicious brew or store it in the fridge for some extra chill thanks to a rather compact (1L) carafe.
@mediocrebot is a grinch
@duodec A drunken Grinch.
Awesome. Still a little hungover huh?
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
@mediocrebot sure it is
Christmas ain’t over until the three wise guys show up with the goods.

@Kyeh - Very cool linesman’s handset! More recent version, though.
@aetris Oh, okay!
@Kyeh - I was very briefly a baby-Bell lineman in the late '80s. It was an interesting job while it lasted!
@aetris Oh, that would be. So that’s the kind of phone you used to test things up there?

@Kyeh @OldCatLady Damn, these are creepy, especially that one on the right that looks like a teletubby.
@ItalianScallion @Kyeh @OldCatLady if Dipsy got high and had an idea…
