@coren that’s exactly that i was going to say. That should have been included. The attitudes of the women who wear that hairdo are pretty awful sometimes too lol
The beehive hasn’t made a comeback since it was popular over 50 years ago. I have to believe there’s a reason for that, and that reason is that it’s the worst hairstyle ever.
@hchavers There was a trend that I still see occasionally called the faux-hawk. I guess that it was for those that wanted to at least pretend to be edgy, but still look unemployable.
@hchavers@Nitewatch Been there & done that…On the weekends, I would make my hawk stand up over 5", but yet keep it under control the rest of the week. I hope there aren’t any pictures out there of me during that “lack of judgement” era!
I stopped to eat at a restaurant in Mississippi a few weeks ago and a waitress there had made, shall we say, interesting choices with her hair.
She had her head shaved to above the temples all the way around, and atop that she had a very thick, long brown head of hair. It was braided down the back and that braid sometimes fell in front of one of her shoulders.
The effect was that of having a Davy Crockett style coonskin cap growing out of her head.
@mollama oh the 80s. What a gloriously bad time in fashion. Not as bad as the 70s but still. I had these wings that would stand up to a class 4 tornado and come out looking fabulous. I am personally responsible for significant damage to the ozone with the amount of aqua net i used.
I’d wear a Mullet long before a Man-Bun. Unless I was a Sumo. Sumo wrestlers get a pass because of culture or whatever. But seriously, it looks stupid.
The Man-Bun is just THE WORST…but I remember a scene from a great old comedy that makes me cringe every time I stumble across it…Anyone remember how she got her hair to stand up like that? Eeeewww!!
@JoetatoChip And yet… that’s what would have happened in the 60s & 70s… which my post was referring to back when I was younger. Go ahead back in time and fix that then.
I didn’t say that that’s what I do now. You are reading what you want to read into the comment.
@JoetatoChip I worded my post badly. When I thought about each of the styles (the ones that I knew what they were anyway) my mind immediately went back to when I was young and what the reaction would have been back then (I recall the first time I saw a man bun… it was like… what the…? I’m older). Not intending to attack any gender or such. More of a…time warp thing. I just thought of what would have happened then. It was a different time. Just like in my time… the guys simply having long hair and a pierced ear was foreign to our parents yet it was right up my alley. It wasn’t intended to insult anyone. But I guess I should know by now that pretty much anything is going to insult someone anymore. sigh.
Since these screwed up haircuts seem to entertain us all so much… I would like to recommend a subreddit for you… WARNING the title of the subreddit has that bad bad word that might make the world end in it…
Oh puhleeezzze
This, or caucasian rasta dreads.
No no no guys it says “worst” hairstyle, not best… all those mullet votes should be reset.
@thismyusername were you able to keep a straigjt face with that comment?
Ummm I wore the Rachel!
@tinamarie1974 Pictures Please!!
@tohar1 I can’t even begin to think where those pictures would be. It has been a lllooonnnngggg time ago
I like the manbun trend.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Thumperchick for some reasin, i actualky believe you do like this twisted montrosity.
@hchavers
Do you have a problem with your keyboard?
@Thumperchick I wonder if all the manbun haters are men. I hate the term manbun. It’s just a bun!
No one says, “Let me put my hair up in a womanbun.”
@RiotDemon solid point. My hair isn’t woman-down today, nor is it in a woman-pony tail…
I’d like to speak to your manager haircut is by far the worst.
@coren that’s exactly that i was going to say. That should have been included. The attitudes of the women who wear that hairdo are pretty awful sometimes too lol
Had to look it up. And found this among the results…
@walarney This looks like a really bad photoshop job come to life. lol

@rprebel my aunts beehive was a sight to behold. It was at least 2 feet tall
@ivannabc @rprebel Best beehive ever…
The Mohawk, but does anyone even remember Mr. T?
@hchavers
/image I pity the fool
@hchavers @narfcake Going back even further, do you remember the Don Eagle?
@hchavers There are better mohawks than Mr. T’s:

The comb over that resembles a blob fish?

The caveman dreads.
MY 80s perm, with thick glasses and braces. I’ll see if I can dig up a picture. I was a horror, if I do say so myself.

Mohawk with a Man-bun
@rtjhnstn HOT.
@rtjhnstn The only reason I would contemplate this style would be to cover my bald spot.
Skullet, aka the Mullester is by far the worst haircut ever. I voted for mullet just because it was closest
@guyfromhawthorn I had to look that up, and I was not disappointed. That is truly a brutal hairstyle.

I gotta go with rat tail. Man, what are they thinking?
While searching for that image, I found this and couldn’t help but fall in love.

@ACraigL he takes being a Lyft driver very seriously.
@thismyusername Yep, that made me laugh.

Why are there even any other options?
@cinoclav Winner!!! Err I mean, LOSER!

@tohar1 there’s nothing wrong with a jizz-do every now and then
Back when I was …ahem… youngER… any guy wearing a bun woulda been laughed off the face of the planet. And wouldn’t have been considered a guy.
@lseeber Times have changed. The man bun is hot, and misgendering someone is rude and not a common insult outside of friends.
@JoetatoChip And yet… that’s what would have happened in the 60s & 70s… which my post was referring to back when I was younger. Go ahead back in time and fix that then.

@lseeber I understood you. I didn’t mean to be aggressive or accusatory.
