It was good. Had it’s moments but they all do. Got to tease Terry Brooks a bit. Always fun to do that to a pro. Apparently Bob Silverberg remembered I did that to him a few years ago, and the story made the rounds.
Next year is LACon in Anaheim. Save up and come.
I never say you know who with his meh bag. But such is live. I hear reg was about 7 thousand but lots and lots of dailies and some of that 7K would be the same person buying for more than one day. My guess is 5.5K or so in attendance.
Back in 2018 in San jose, I asked Robert silverberg for his ID. So he could get his badge. We ask everybody for their id. But especially the older Pros sometimes get a kick out of it. It’s almost like asking an older person for their idea to buy beer. The thing is I knew who he was. I had met him before. And we talked about it and he kind of smiled and did some of those things. I did the same thing to Terry Brooks at this Con. I told him the story about Robert silverberg. By the next day the whole story of me asking them for idea had gone around the whole con
That is a lot of days to lose. If you thought you had clicked and it didn’t stick maybe you were somehow logged out? I know I lost a few streaks that way.
@Kidsandliz no. I’m pretty sure I didn’t log in. There was one day where I was just exhausted went back to my hotel room and basically face planted. Since I almost always click the button before I go to bed not in the morning I’m really sure that’s the day that I missed
@kittykat9180 same…and my calendar shows the meh faces for every day which is strange since in the past that’s how I’ve been able to tell which day I missed (because “counting” is hard).

I lost my longest streak recently (only 55 days) but I don’t recall missing a day.

I’ve felt this pain. I lost mine at 658 days. Currently sitting at around 40-ish.
I’ve only gotten 12 days. I hope to beat it this week.
