The costs of blanks are worse with children sizes due to the lower demand. Not all colors will be available either.
Mediocritee will have to set up additional screens for the smaller print sizes. This is more added costs.
CPSIA regulations means that the finished products will have to be certified. After mediocritee prints the shirts, they’ll have to be sent out to a lab to be tested for flammability and that a kid won’t be poisoned should they decide to chew on the shirt.
All this comes at a considerable expense and unless customers are willing to pay $$$ for the shirts along with waiting months after release for the certification, it’s unfeasible to offer them.
As for the women’s blanks – yes, they’re petite but they’re also contoured, so it probably won’t be a good idea for boys.
I appreciate the thorough explanation here, but really, I’m a parent, so you could have just said “basically kids are hella expensive” and I’d have accepted it.
@RiotDemon if you saw @spiritgreen’s shirt on me, you would have thought I had. It’s really nice. I was worried about sizing but it worked out well. I’m a bit scared to wash it but I’ll take care of it.
@njfan@Spiritgreen don’t worry about it! I have some shirts from mediocritee’s beginnings that I wear a bunch. They are holding up well! I wash on medium/cold and wash them inside out.
Meh.
Speaking of @spiritgreen!
Not so shameless plug for their current art over at Mediocritee!
@riskybryzness bought! Looking forward to receiving the shirt in a couple of months.
@njfan @riskybryzness the last shirt I bought and received was purchased April 2nd and delivered on April 14th.
@RiotDemon If I don’t receive it by next Friday, I’ll be consulting you for lottery numbers.
@riskybryzness I’d love to get both of these designs for my son, but Meh (still) doesn’t offer kids sizes for Mediocritee!
@GenCurmudgeon @riskybryzness have you looked at the women’s sizes? They are pretty tiny.
I doubt they’ll offer kids sizes. @narfcake knows more about it but basically kids shirts are hella expensive for several reasons.
@GenCurmudgeon @RiotDemon @riskybryzness To expand on some issues with offering children sizes:

@RiotDemon my order hasn’t arrived. Would you mind providing me with five numbers between 1-70 and one number between 1-25, please?
@njfan 3, 11, 22, 47, 63 + 14
@RiotDemon you give me numbers and today my order arrived. Coincidence? I don’t think so! Thank you!!!
@njfan BUT DID YOU WIN THE LOTTERY???

Other meh shirts at Woot:
https://shirt.woot.com/catalog?q=meh
@narfcake I like the one that says “meh”.
@narfcake @OnionSoup It’s nice seeing that list and knowing that at least 4 of those artists are ones that we’ve worked with.
Whenever I do a “Meh” shirt (I think I have 3 or so in my catalog) someone always posts how Woot is advertising for Meh.
