Woot! Sent me an empty Apple Watch box
12So I ordered an Apple Watch for my better half. This was to be a Christmas gift. It arrived yesterday; being myself, I insisted she open it immediately. She said no she wanted to open it at Christmas with the family. I pleaded and she agreed to open it and not wait for Christmas… thank goodness she did not wait until Christmas with the family–THE WATCH WAS NOT IN THE BOX. Only a charger and some paperwork. Not even a sticker on the Apple packaging.
What a shit-show. Though I’d share. Looks like I was not alone.
Worst part–they have no more stock. At least they will refund once I send them their empty box back.

Whoever supplied them that stock fucked them over.
By the looks of the map, there was 8 units.
@narfcake Or someone in the warehouse.
@sammydog01 Possible. They were fulfilled by Amazon, though, which I thought was pretty watchful (high security) in the warehouse.
@narfcake Having worked at Amazon in the past, I can confirm that they have some pretty significant security there. Those boxes were probably empty before they reached Amazon.
@Durago That’s what I figure.
@Durago I can vouch for the security of their distribution centers, as a major supplier of their security apparatus (apparati?)
Shit! Some fucker should be going to jail for this shit.
This reminds me of the “x-box” shit from ebay years ago. Fuck woot.
Go enter the Apple Watch Series 3 giveaway on AMZN. Your chances are slim- but you already don’t have a watch. It closes at midnight. Enter all the giveaways, it’s free.

@OldCatLady Why didn’t you show me this contest earlier? I could have felt like a complete and utter failure every day since November 21 instead of just the last few days.
@sammydog01 I just found it myself. Hindsight is great.
@OldCatLady
Where do I acquire some Fine Vintage Hindsight?
I’m feeling I’ll never acquire Foresight.
I’d wager that someone at the Amazon warehouse stole them (20%) or a 3rd party resold them to Amazon w/o the actual watch on purpose (80%).
@Collin1000 The seals were apparently breached on all the boxes.
Maybe it’s the new Apple Watch Air.
@mehcuda67 OK that was funny
The second comment on Woot says, “So far this is the steal of the night.”
