Shoes are something I have to try on. Doesn’t matter if it’s $5 or $100; if they’re not comfortable right off the bat, it’s a pass for me.

@narfcake I bought some shoes online recently, because I use the same brand all the time and normally they are fine. The ones I just got a couple months ago were a half step up in size, but they are way more snug and uncomfortable to wear. Most likely they will be the shoes I wear while I mow the lawn.

@narfcake @PlacidPenguin I actually looked at them before, they seem to just compact the soil. Maybe better than nothing, but not as good as a good core aerating.

@lichme @narfcake That’s why I buy my shoes at the Zappos outlet store. Their selection of men’s shoes is about a tenth that of women’s, probably because men aren’t as likely to return shoes they don’t like, but all I need are black shoes that fit, and I get crazy good prices.
