Woot more expensive than Amazon?
6I’m not a big shopper at Woot, but do check out their email ads occasionally. I looked at a pair of gloves for $16.99 at Woot
but didn’t see any reviews for them there, so checked out Amazon and found apparently the same gloves there for $12.99, with plenty of reviews. [Even had the same misspelling of Simplity instead of Simplicity there!]
Does this price differential favoring buying from Amazon happen often?

Incidentally, if you like these in the men’s sizes, some reviews say these run small. I ordered the 7141_Black, because they were the only ones that offered “Extra large” size, and I’m OK with this color and design.
At this price, I ordered two pairs, to cover losing or having one glove in the pair get torn (and my dog loves chewing my shoes, gloves, caps, …). She refuses to be broken of the habit, though she gives the impression of showing contrition when I confront her.
I buy stuff from woot, Actually a fair amount of stuff. I always do my homework first though. Look elsewhere for a lower price and look at reviews. I haven’t had a problem with stuff I bought being overpriced.
Also, if you go to the Woot Community Forum and point out that Amazon’s price is lower, ThunderThighs can often re-post the item at a price lower than Amazon’s.
It happens occasionally…I too buy stuff from Woot. Usually I double-check the prices and reviews. As @Barney mentioned, forum moderator ThunderThighs can fix it most likely. ThunderThighs has said it’s because AMZN changes their prices.
Happens fairly frequently. The usual excuse is “Amazon must have lowered their price after we posted this deal.”
If you call woot out on it, they’ll try to beat the amazon price or at least take the sale down until it’s no longer on sale at Amazon.
