@llangley It is only necessary to flip the outlet plug 180 degrees, and it will operate in reverse. This is an often-appreciated but seldom-recognized principle and benefit of electrical current.
@hchavers if you let people know you have it, without wearing pants, they may stay away from you and thus reduce the likelihood of your covid exposure.
So yes.
Good idea. An air filter to remove the mold it causes The condensate that collects in the dark corners of your house make a happy home for mold growth. Ask your allergist.
What the heck? When you run the Plasma Wave ONLY to clean the air, it looks like the only air cleaning it does is thru the “carbon hepa filter.” Is that right? Also you DO NOT want to use humidifier to put droplets of water into the air that can easily carry the damn virus. Hospitals that are giving breathing treatments are doing so now in specialty rooms that have to be disenfected after each use. I want an air cleaner badly but I dont think this is the best fit for the times were living in today. And that sucks by the way as theres nothing to replace with this unit. You just wash and air dry.
@mooresplace I can only assume you’re on crack. It’s very, very well established that humidity reduces airborne virus transmission. Especially the flu. That’s part of why it’s seasonal. Low humidity spreads it. Just so stupid.
@unksol I must have been on crack 2 weeks ago when my brother put a humidifier on low in the room my 78 year old mother had bronchitis. Because I got it from her so easily sitting in same room. Dr said that made it easier to get. Airbourne particles. And I wasnt kissing on my mom since you say I musta bern on crack. Im sure that would come at me next. I commented on it because im just saying what i kno about the subject. Maybe you need school for having some manners.
@mooresplace try not to take it personally in spite of the tone…sometimes we get a little drunk around here late at night and stuff doesn’t come out “kidding” like it should. I hope you and your Mom are feeling better
Stick around, we’re not complete assholes and are (mostly) harmless!
@llangley I appreciate your well wishes. Im all out for the sarcasm and joking around on here. Thats why I love, love this site. And the products too ofcourse. It just bothers me when I know what I said was meaningful. Im not going anywhere as theres great comic relief to be had on this site!! So all I have to say about people with negative bullying comments are SOME PEOPLE ARE STUCK IN STUPID, AND SOME ARE STUCK IN PARK I THINK. LOL. Im just kidding:)

Meh
Does this have PlasmaWave® 2 technology or just the standard ol’ PlasmaWave®?
Umm no need for this. All my air comes from outside and it gets washed by rain on a regular basis.
There’s a typo in the specs, they should read:
@Aspirant_Fool You mean their patented ClokDown® algorithm, advanced PowrSavr™ technology, and of course the NiteTimezOFF® module?
@awk For best results, fill only with Winix brand triple-deionized alkaline super water*™®©.
*Contains less than 2% water
I was hesitantly hopeful seeing the picture!! Then I saw. A humidifier. After I asked nicely for a DEhumidifier and all!!
I think you’re fucking with me.

@mkraus wow, thanks!!! So if I use that approach with my vacuum it will no longer suck???
It looks like a printer.

Man I thought this thing was a bread machine and got so excited for a second
@a13z same!
Anyone wanna try to actually explain the technology in this and why it’s expensive AF for a humidifier?
it’s a really expensive humidifier for the stimulus $ you be gettin.
@Odorous You can say that again.
it’s a really expensive humidifier for the stimulus $ you be gettin.
@Odorous Damn straight it is.
Will this protect my home from COVID-19?
@hchavers I doubt it but it may store it up for later.
@hchavers if you let people know you have it, without wearing pants, they may stay away from you and thus reduce the likelihood of your covid exposure.
So yes.
@hchavers it sounds like the humidifier portion will keep droplets in the air thus the virus suspended in the air longer.
Good idea. An air filter to remove the mold it causes The condensate that collects in the dark corners of your house make a happy home for mold growth. Ask your allergist.
How many channels does it get?
Does it have a HEPA filter? Looks like no?

@unksol huh?
And they’re flying off the shelves…
