Wine
6After taunting us with a poll about wine without selling us wine I just wanted to let the powers that be at Meh know that they’re missing out.
Since September 25th I’ve spent over $400 buying wine from Woot sellers (cellars?
) and Meh isn’t seeing a penny of it!
I’d rather give Meh my money than Wootazon, please @snapster can we have some more? Maybe a nice Cabernet Sauvignon? A red blend even?

I believe the person you want to beg… ask, is @dave.
@Thumperchick alrighty then. Perhaps I’ll invite him over for some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

@dave, you are summoned forth at the behest of @Thumperchick. What say ye, oh keeper of the keys to the wine cellar?

@dave I hope I didn’t scare you away with my offer of fava beans and Chianti!

I don’t drink … wine
@Cerridwyn what in the hell is Sippin’ Cream?
@jbartus
the one i have is dark chocolate and coffee and alcohol and you serve it cold. it’s creamy, sorta like irish cream.
it’s made by a craft moonshine company
@Cerridwyn sounds delicious!
@jbartus it is, trust me
@Cerridwyn so in the photo are you putting it in coffee or is that how you’re serving it in a coffee cup solo?
@jbartus that’s their pic not mine.
i just pour it in a glass
@dave
For October, I’d be interested in a Meh vintage something like this:
@jbartus @f00l Hmm… you’re right, it has been awhile. Let me take a look around here and see if there’s anything good we could use for a theme.
Any ideas?
@dave I like the sparkly stuff that tastes like grape kool-aid. What’s that called? I might buy some of that.
@sammydog01 Oh, I meant ideas for themes, like stuff pulled from crap we do around here that could be a good name or label.
But yeah, sure, bubbly grape kool-aid, I’ll pass those tasting notes on.
@dave If you were able to source some blaufränkisch you could finally sell a ‘blautooth fränkischpeaker’.
@dave I think a Bluetooth enabled bottle that posts to Facebook every time you pour to let everybody know how much of a lush you are is a must.
Themes you say… Mad Grape Den?
Also as much as sparkling grape Kool Aid sounds appealing I’d much prefer a nice Cab.
@dave Sounds like a great opportunity for another naming contest. Winner gets a bottle.
@heartny a bottle? I don’t get out of bed for less than half a case!
Also shipping restrictions would make that a potentially problematic contest
@dave You could do an actual field test of your Law of Developing Returns. There’s probably still some candy corn around, so you could run a “buy some candy corn, get the bottle for free”.
Does They Might Be Giants have an (un)official bottle of wine? Then you could definitely be thematically appropriate with a wine sale.
I don’t drink a lot of wine normally, so I tend towards the exotic- dessert/ice wines, and I do love the various Chocovine flavors.
Are there still super-simple wine making kits around? I remember the Spike Your Juice one, which did a decent job of making wine within it’s limitations.
@dave Boone’s Farm Strawberry Hill
@jbartus If you win, you get a half of a case. If there are winners in areas where alcohol can’t be shipped they get a speaker dock. Or maybe they get an empty bottle?
@heartny I like the idea but I feel like I already gave the best answer possible with Mad Grape Den
@dave
Does Wellington have an exclusive with Woot?
I would totally buy some Wellingtton port.
Or just get something decent and surprise us.
@dave
Label possibility:
@f00l Wellington is selling off their old stock and then there will be no more. He sold the winery but not the stock (no interest I think) and I think he’s coming up on the deadline to empty the place. If you like Wellington keep an eye on Wine.Woot!
@jbartus
Yeah. Bought some.
(Woot did do some Wellington Port, and I missed it.)
Prob bought too much. Or not enough.
@f00l I can’t tell if you were looking for port specifically or what but today’s featured Wine.Woot is Wellington’s final port vintage.
@jbartus
Thx! About to buy!
I miss when wine.woot pre wootazon sold more than just wine but foods
@Cerridwyn they have foods pretty regularly. I ordered some gourmet caramel stuff the other day and some flavored cooking oils a couple of weeks ago.
