We used to have company issued air cleaner/purifiers that included an ionizer; there was a tiny needle sticking out of the grate. If you touched that needle for a moment you would build up a 'substantial' static charge. Painfully substantial if you zapped someone with it. Thats why I used it...
@evbarnstormer Looking at the filter after every few months, I say it makes a significant enough difference. All that was picked up is stuff that's not floating around in the air anymore.
Same here. While it does provide some nifty secondary uses like scrubbing pollen and cat dander out of the air, the primary use is as a white noise generator in the bedroom.
I don't use one. I like my air to be as harsh as a dirty city so I'll build up a tolerance. Now when they shut the grid down and the purifiers stop, I'll have a tactical advantage over all the sissies who need "purified" air.
To clean the wifi out of the air... that wifi makes me sneeze.
Beans......Beautiful Baked Beans
@somf69 kid and dog farts (no I do not have dogs) - but I suspect plugs are cheaper

I have a few air cleaners and I use them to cut down the amount of dust and doggie dander here.
@narfcake do you really notice a difference? I'm considering getting one. No one is allergic but two cats and a dog create a lot of dander

I use one because you sent it to me in fuku3, and i like the white noise.
