Why is Meh becoming so mean rather than Meh?
3I liked Meh.com so much that I bought several items. Then Meh stopped the VMP program. OK, I paid $5 shipping for a few items. I still liked Meh, though, so I signed up for text alerts. But now Meh has gone too far and hosed me too many times. Why send me text alerts only to prevent me from buying something until 8am, so “everyone else” who has been whining can get a chance. Meh, you are being so mean, actually so meh, to your loyal customers. I am out. I sent STOP to your text number and hope that makes my text alerts stop.

Meh has a text number? I want to text Irk for, you know, reasons.

@djslack we do not. I believe they subscribed to twitter updates via text. Also, Irk seems to be in a long-term relationship with Arm, IYKWIM.

How mean of them, to make night owls share their toys with the early birds… hey wait… don’t tell them I’m still VMP!
The VMP program isn’t gone; it just isn’t taking new members. Some of us are still stupid enough to keep giving meh five bucks a month, even though it’s really not a sound decision.
Why shouldn’t the people who check the site at midnight have a better shot at buying something popular than those who wait until they see something they like on the Twitter feed before visiting the site?
Should meh not buy and sell things they think might sell out quickly? Who does that help? If it were me, I’d like to sell out of everything.

The Twitter text messages are actually pretty timely. I even got a Fuko once by clicking through the link in one of those.
It’s not really like the adage that you don’t need to run faster than the bear to stay alive but I like that one a lot.

Loyal customers? No. The loyal customers never quit VMP. Now… if you showed up after VMP enrollment stopped, you still might become a loyal customer, but too little time has passed for you to have proven your loyalty.
