I dunno about this site. I loved Woot before it was bought out by Amazon, so I was attracted to Meh. But I ordered the Dyson vacuum cleaner that was yesterday's "meh" and I got nothing. There's no order confirmation in my email (checked my spam, thanks) and I can log into my account but can't see any orders I placed. All I can do is change my password or cancel my Amazon and Google afflictions.
Did Meh charge me for the vacuum? Did they receive my order? Will it ship out? I have no idea. Pretty ridiculous. It feels like it's 2002. Com'mon.
Considering that they have had a couple sell-outs this week, I think they're doing okay. Maybe not selling things you want, but somebody wants what they're offering. I've placed five orders since the launch, so a few meh sales are good for my wallet.
I got the laptop backpack and the batteries this week. I thought that was plenty. Also, with VMP, I only had to pay once for shipping on two different days, which is better than Woot.
Because nothing says "meh" like the top Kindle for 45-50% retail...
They're not baiting and switching. They've been pretty damn clear their goal and intent, as well as willful indifference, with the site. Align your expectations
I'm more than happy with the week so far. I also got in on the batteries and was very close to ordering the Kindles even though I already own two! Not to mention the 160 pounds of water softener salt pellets that I received as my 'missing package'!
I'm happy with Meh so far. Initially it looked like the stock was very heavily gadget-focused, but lately they've mixed in some other stuff like the cups and backpack to keep it fresh. Besides, with Woot the culture was defined mostly by the special events, such as Woot-offs and BOCs. Once the Meh equivalents of those start, it'll feel even more like home.
If I wasn't heavily watching my budget so I can do some remodeling at my home, I would have bought several things so far. I am pleased with the variety over all and will be buying I'm sure.
@jaccox we've heard enough confusion about not getting old-fashioned order confirmation emails. We're building this feature and it should be ready for next week, which I'm sure will disappoint you even more than this week. #sorrynotsorry
It's been less than a month, and so far for me, meh has been anything but meh. A decent product mix and enough activity in the forums here for diversion, but not way-too-much on either to be overwhelming. Sure, I'm not going to buy every product - heck, these folks are telling us why we SHOULDN'T BUY THEIR STUFF! - but the deals are real.
Meh? Or do you mean Mediocre?
For the record, I've been quite pleased with Meh this week.

@jaccox Scroll down to the bottom of the meh page for a link to your orders. Or, just go to Meh.com/orders They don't send emails.
I hear that reading the FAQ comes in handy. http://meh.com/faq
Great. Even on this forum I can't respond to specific replies. What a mess.
@jaccox, all you have to do is click reply on the first post (yours) and type @ and the name of who you are replying to. It's not hard.
@jaccox You're the guy at bars who gets pissy when the waiter points to the draught beer list on the menu rather than rattling off all 60
@jaccox Did you turn off your monitor after clicking the order button? It displays an order confirmation right after you order!
Are you familiar with the Meh scape goat? Would you like to volunteer for August?
This is Meh. They don't care, they don't have to.

I've spend more here this week than anywhere else for a few months, combined.
you are too needy

I'm quite happy with my backpack and Moscow Mule mugs, actually!

Don't be so hard on 'em. LOL! It's a new site. Let's give it some time before we start bringing out the pitchforks and torches.

I don't exactly expect it to change in 5 months... It's called "meh.com," not FantasticValueMart.net
@brandon Where is this FantasticValueMart? Their website appears to be down, and I WANT TO GO TO THERE!
@curtise @hollboll You don't GO there, it merely appears to those chosen to visit. Like Funky Town. And that so-called "country" "Australia"

I can't wait for the Bags of Meh to begin.

#sorrynotsorry LOL!
On one hand, getting an email with tracking info would be nice because of Google Now integration. On the other hand...no email bombardment.
I agree. I don't need to get an email telling me I just ordered. I know I ordered, I was there... A tracking # email would be nice though.
The elegant solution would be a checkbox on the order page that asks if you would like an email confirmation. Done and done.
@Mac454 I believe that's the plan, it'll be a button you have to press to confirm your love for unnecessary emails.
FEATURE PREVIEW:
Excellent @JonT ! I'll take undeserved credit for that and send you a bill for my consulting fee. I think you'll find my rate more than fair
I hate that so much, the sorrynotsorry thing needs to die about as fast as yolo. A nice simple, go fuck yourself works so much better.
@JonT But my records! I need your confirmation emails so I can put them away with my other 10,000 confirmation emails.
I'll be glad to see less threads in the forums proclaiming "WHARES MAH EMAIL?!?!? CROOKS!!
Why has the past week been so meh? Because I was away on vacation! Don't worry, though, I'm back now.
Finally, the unbearable misery is at an end!
This topic either violates the T in BULLSHIT, or is brilliant and apropos.
