I do more stretching than exercising, but I’m working on that. I had to learn how to walk again 10 months ago… and that’s kind of the driver. My muscles are still figuring some things out. I can’t run yet, but I can hustle
@capnjb
Thank goodness you were given that opportunity, it’s better than the alternative!! How are you doing emotionally?
After I broke both legs, 1 ankle, and blew out my hip in a terrible car accident I cried happy tears the first time I was able to get up to jog on the treadmill. That was over 25 years ago and I’m pretty sure it’s NEVER going to ever happen again.
@Lynnerizer Emotionally? I’m great. When you wake up every few weeks naked, with nurses doing so many things you can’t even comprehend, it humbles you. To be sure.
Lifting my legs up off the bed was a milestone. Standing on my own was a milestone. I no longer need it, but I still have my walker. To be clear, I went through some shit last year and as awful as it was, I am thankful that it happened to me. I’m still horrified about what I put my family though, but it has changed my outlook on life. I’ve been able to drop all the pretenses I was trying to keep up. Ask me anything you want, and you will get the unapologetic truth. It’s liberating I am now an open book, writing new chapters daily And loving life!
I exercise for both my physical and mental health. I feel more confident and more peaceful, and I’m strong enough to do all the things that are most important to me.
If you mean go to a gym, lift weights or run on a treadmill then nope don’t have time for that shit.
If by exercise you mean be active and do useful things around the house, then yeah… I exercise.
@chienfou I roll my eyes at the rich people around here who hire people to take care of their yards and then hop in their Teslas and drive across town to the “fitness club.”
Replace running with bicycling and this pretty much explains it for me.

A pretty woman and muscular man said it’s good for me.
It’s an attempt to create habits for when I retire because I’m laazzzyy…
My version of retirement is drink beer and play video games. Probably not the best thing to do.
What is this exercise thing you speak of?
@MarkDaSpark I have the body of a god.
