I love Sundays, not for the garbage that is sold (what no speaker docks) but for the @JasonToon playlists. They are awesome. From Andrew Gold’s Lonely Boy to Girl in a Coma, they all rock.
I see that unlike the Smiths, this is just a generic girl in a coma rather than a girlfriend. So there’s that.
Being a Chicano from the 60’s from El Segundo Barrio El Paso, TX, I just have to put our Chicano artists from our era The great Jives they could really jam.
I’m voting for Los Lobos, but not for that song. I’ve loved just about everything they’ve done from Kiko on, but don’t know much about their 80s stuff. I’m hoping it’s not all as meh as this one. (I’m not a fan of “La Bamba” either.)
While am not down w/ the Santana murse, Los Crudos are great, if 20 years too late.

@IcedCorn aw jeez, thanks! These playlists are fun to do, but immensely more fun knowing somebody out there likes them.
@JasonToon Add me to that list. If you ever stop doing them here, I would follow you to your next weekly playlist destination without hesitation…
WIllie Colon!
I can’t believe he left out Mike Nesmith’s rendition of Won Ton Ramirez.
Without presuming I could improve on a @jasontoon playlist there’s a great 1970 Brown Sound groove here:
What? No Rrrrrrrrrico Suaaaaavee?
@mike808 Gerardo isn’t Chicano
@bfalter but he does eat them raw like sushi
Bandolero Rock! 80’s perfection.
This one set Chicano music back about 10 years:
And this one made up for it and then some:
@mrehorst meh, Gerardo isn’t Chicano

I knew it would be
the haiku against the song.
A tear for muertos.
