When's the last time a refrigerator and/or freezer failed on you?
1We're currently in the middle of our refrigerator/freezer unit dying because of a bad compressor, and it does complicate things.
You can't really store anything perishable in it anymore because you don't know how long this cold cycle will last, and the freezer is even more unusable for the same reason.
The other freezer units are packed to the brim with everything, and the refrigerator is stuffed much tighter than usual.
Hoping to get a new one this weekend.

Right there with ya, actually. I finally moved back into my house a few weeks ago after six months of waiting for a new sewer line to be installed. When I went to put my groceries away, I discovered my fridge and freezer were both warm. I think I have it narrowed down to a bad capacitor so I'm hoping I can just replace that and be done with it. But if you find a good two-for-one sale, let me know!
I've never had a fridge quit on me. However the beer fridge in the garage doesn't run when it gets really cold outside. I'm not exactly sure why this happens though I could make a few guesses. I do know I hate warm beer :-(
@RedHot set the beer outside when the fridge freezes up? That's what I did when it was snowing here. I loved my big walk in refrigerator at the back door ;)
About 3 years ago. Fridge was 20 years old.
