I live in a townhouse and my neighbors will sometimes play music on their back deck. It drives me nuts, but that's what happens when you live in townhouses. You learn to hate your neighbors.
@PurplePawprints Happens in neighborhoods too, even ones where houses aren't right on top of each other. My backyard shares a fence line with someone who insists that if they are outside, everyone must know it. Whether its music, yelling, ziplining(yes, IN A DAMN BACKYARD, NOT THE WOODS), basketball in a pool with a real backboard and hard basketballs, fire pits, hammering or building a new project. Only thing we don't have is dog barking, thank u baby Jesus. And I'm no old neighborhood grump or anything. I'm a 31 year old mom of two who just happens to think I should be entitled to peace and quiet in the house I paid for. Just like they are entitled to use their home as they wish as well. But the music bothers me the most cause its that bass u can still hear from inside your house with all the windows and doors shut. My theory is, if u can walk to your fence line and hear the music still, then its too loud!! Turn it down and stop pissing all your neighbors off ( trust me, they are). And while I'm at it, GET OFF MY LAWN!!!
I listen to music inside, but outside - I prefer to listen to the "peace and quiet of the great outdoors": the wind in the trees, chirping birds, an angry squirrel, my neighbor's barking dogs, the sound of the motorcycles passing on the highway, the occasional siren sound of an EMT vehicle headed to the state park to rescue a hiker - that sort of thing.

No outside music playing here. But I'll listen to music through ear buds when mowing the lawn sometimes.
Audio books. I listen all the time -mostly inside, but sometimes outside if I'm painting something or doing a project.
"No, that entire premise is stupid"
Sometimes I sing or hum while outside working in the yard. Does that count ?
Where is the option for "No, I don't go outside"?
@Sabre99 Came here for this.
OK, so I interpreted my no-HVAC, drafty, detached garage as "outside"... as in, "it is outside my home". How do I change my vote?
I'm out in the relative middle of nowhere so no one really cares what I do outside, much less if music is involved.
