@bayportbob - I find it MORE stressful to listen to the dog, less stressful to look at the dog, somewhat stressful to look for the dog and not hear him.
A nice bath would do but I never tried it since having 4 kids around will never give you a nice peaceful bath.
…so I choose others…other like CHOCOS…chocolate bar, choco ice cream, choco milk shake or even chocoffee. And add some nice music plugged in my ear like I’m hearing nothing but the music, not even myself. That would make it!

the ocean is also a great healer, and if i could have daily access to it i would. same for seeing a favorite band perform live.
