@nobile Same. I have my laptop on one of those rolling tables similar to the ones they use in hospitals, and I do all my computer stuff sitting on my bed.
We actually have a home office but since I retired my wife has more or less taken it over. Now most of my computer use is done on my Chromebook at the dining room table.
We have a three bedroom house. We’ll, it did have three bedrooms. Now it has two bedrooms and a storage room with my desk in the corner. And my corner is getting smaller by the day.
I’m a big nerd. And honestly, I don’t know how many computers are in my house. There are many laptops and desktops… more than ten I’d guess This is my main rig. But there are three laptops by my feet right now
@capnjb You win. I have imagined setups like this with a papasan chair. That way I could program until I get tired, and then just fall asleep right there. Vegblob, here I come!
I have a second monitor at my bedside/laptop setup and a second monitor downstairs on my desk.
/showme Computer programmer lying in papasan chair typing on wireless keyboard and with 5 computer monitors suspended in front of him.
Take my laptop outside somewhere. If the weather permits. Hell, I’ve been known to equip AT LEAST 3 layers and a blanket just to not hand to work inside…
Wherever the computer is I need to work on or do work on.

Wherever my sandwich is.
Wondering what the wife did to break it, then I call my son who’s an IT guy to fix it.
Since my wife was a college professor and I was an IT guy, we built a computer room when we got this house (and the last house, too)

The big adjustable standing/sitting desk in my bedroom where I have an external monitor for my laptop, so I can have two screens![;]](https://dj5zo597wtsux.cloudfront.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f609.png)

In my library amongst my books
@Cerridwyn Books are nice. I call them dynamic insulation because they make your wall thicker.
My desk, my bed, or my dining table.
The benefit of my desk is a second monitor, which is helpful if I’m coding.
