I don’t have an “EVERYDAY” Breakfast!! Variety is the “Spice of Life” people! Sometimes it’s scrambled eggs w/ cheese; other times Pancake w/ Sausage on a Stick; occasionally a Breakfast Burrito. Once in a while a liquid “Breakfast Essentials”. A Fried Egg Sandwich is great as well. Oh yeah, let’s not forget about BACON!! Why be boring and stale folks??
@IndifferentDude Pancake with sausage onna stick is an Aldi staple. I don’t know if anyplace else has them. It’s better than the majority of the pig-inna-blanket things sold around here that the Czech-insensitive mislabel as a kolach.
@robson@rtjhnstn the martinis are for lunch. morning coffee should be served with brandy or whiskey, separately, not mixed into the coffee, though in some cases that can work too. and of course water – hydration is important!
@Kidsandliz Irish coffee without the coffee would just be uisce beatha (perhaps with cream and/or sugar?) Frankly, that’s sounds like either a wash, or an improvement over the one with the coffee.
On the days I go into the office I have eggs because they don’t take too long to cook or eat. On days I work from home I have a smoothie because it takes a while to make and I drink it throughout the day. Weekends it depends on what I have planned for the day. Sometimes I just grab a protein bar.
Oatmeal(pretty much any of the Quaker flavored varieties plus I add raisins to all of them) or Frosted Flakes(I heard once that it has the taste adults have grown to love)
I would of started eating Rice Krispies if Mitch Hedberg would of actually managed to get his face on the box too…
2 packs of raisin apple walnut oatmeal from Kroger, often but not always, with a banana. 2 cups of coffee with a splash of Italian creme creamer. Every day. Every. Single. Day.
strawberry yogurt mixed with cottage cheese. Makes a good savory sweet breakfast. Sometimes I break the rules and stop by a local convenience store that has biscuits and gravy. Don’t judge me.
Different all the time. Toasted rye bread. Poached eggs. Fried eggs. Raisin Bran. Scrambled eggs. Egg sandwich. Sonic burrito. Croissant. White toast with grape jelly or honey.
A toasted bagel with various toppings. Sometimes it’s a raisin bagel with peanut butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon, sometimes a plain bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Today it was an everything bagel with cheddar cheese and slices of fresh ripe tomato from the garden. Or various other combinations.
Plus fruit and coffee.
@chienfou My favorite breakfasts were at a nice hotel buffet in Japan, because they served all kinds of food, not just the traditional eggs and sweets type Western breakfast.
Isreali breakfasts sound really good too.
It’s always a smoothie, everyday. What time of the day I drink it for breakfast is a different story. Today it’s 4:02 and I’m about to make my breakfast smoothie bc I’m being a bum.
@growyoungagain
Yep… user name checks out !
When I was younger (a long time ago) my sister and I used to get up Saturday mornings to watch cartoons while Mom and Dad slept in. Typically we would sit in front of the TV with a bowl of dry trix or sugar Pops,cocoa puffs etc… Eating it like popcorn. Good times!
Pizza!
@yakkoTDI cold pizza
Iced coffee
Bacon, with something else. The bacon is the important bit.
Yogurt, a banana, half an avocado, an English muffin (with butter and jelly) and coffee.
@arieltf What color is that when you pour it out of the blender?
@arieltf @phendrick I think it depends on whether you peel the banana first.
I don’t usually eat breakfast, but if I’m hungry in the morning I might eat a banana or a hard-boiled egg. Or even … BOTH.
@awk Both?! You rebel!
/giphy you rebel
@awk @yakkoTDI
Hah - Breakfast Club!
How appropriate.
@awk @Kyeh @yakkoTDI the bot is listening…
Blueberry or Cinnamin Bagel, and a full breakfast with the guys on Friday.
Coffee. Then more coffee. Then mid-afternoon wondering why I feel off. Followed by more coffee.
@brainmist I can’t star this more than once, but I would if I could! I could live off of iced coffee.

@IndifferentDude Because “boring and stale” is a whole lot easier to plan for.
(also, making decisions in the morning is hard)
@IndifferentDude @xobzoo Boring and stale also describes half of my emergency breakfast bars.
Coffee, breakfast of champions!
@robson And I thought a martini was the breakfast of champions
@robson @rtjhnstn the martinis are for lunch. morning coffee should be served with brandy or whiskey, separately, not mixed into the coffee, though in some cases that can work too. and of course water – hydration is important!
@pmarin @robson @rtjhnstn Irish coffee, but hold the coffee?
@pmarin @robson @rtjhnstn @smyle What? You eat Irish people instead of Irish coffee? Or would that be Irish Setters?
@robson @rtjhnstn
/image espresso martini
@robson @rtjhnstn @ybmuG Gin and vermouth are mostly a waste anyway, no harm, no foul.

I’m not much of a cereal person but I never at Frosted Flakes a kid and it’s about the only thing I now besides peanut butter captain crunch.

Coffee. Trying to get an oatmeal routine started, but got messed up by vacation.
strawberry yogurt mixed with cottage cheese. Makes a good savory sweet breakfast. Sometimes I break the rules and stop by a local convenience store that has biscuits and gravy. Don’t judge me.
Oatmeal and coffee.
@chuckf1 That’ll get things moving!
Different all the time. Toasted rye bread. Poached eggs. Fried eggs. Raisin Bran. Scrambled eggs. Egg sandwich. Sonic burrito. Croissant. White toast with grape jelly or honey.
Fried rice, with an egg. Yumm, and it satisfies me for hours.
Oatmeal and a Greek yogurt.
Coffee.
a smoked sausage link, microwaved for 30 seconds.
Peanut butter sandwich crackers most weekdays
2 slices of toast, one with some jam, second with half honey/peanut butter
The last thing that was on the smoker.
And/or cottage cheese with some flaked sea salt and cracked black pepper. Fridays come with hot sauce.
Coffee and depression.

Lunch
@chienfou My favorite breakfasts were at a nice hotel buffet in Japan, because they served all kinds of food, not just the traditional eggs and sweets type Western breakfast.
Isreali breakfasts sound really good too.
@chienfou I have been known to make my kind of B&T for breakfast on occasion.
@Kyeh
Scottish/Irish b’fast are also pretty good. Typically a pretty complete meal…
Always coffee. Somedays eggs, somedays waffles, somedays cereal, somedays bagels and lox. Varied diets are good.
It’s always a smoothie, everyday. What time of the day I drink it for breakfast is a different story. Today it’s 4:02 and I’m about to make my breakfast smoothie bc I’m being a bum.
@Star2236
No biggie. After all time is a social construct…
Dry Cheerios with chocolate chips or Reeses PB cups. I’m serious that’s what I eat. It’s not good for ya, so DON’T try this at home.
@growyoungagain Those couldn’t be any worse than these - you’ve just made your own!
@Kyeh I concur, and mine taste better and probably have less sugar.

Like most of my food, whatever was on sale the previous weeks.
The fruit jerky on Meh was pretty amazing; I didn’t have to worry about fruit flies growing on it!
