I chose “Raiders.” I thought “Dial of Destiny” was good also and SPOILER ALERT below the next paragraph.
I saw it in an IMAX theater in Los Angeles courtesy of my son who has the AMC monthly ticket. The projection was fine but the sound of the non-dialogue elements was too loud and at times obscured the dialogue. Adjusting my hearing aids only improved it a bit.
I thought bringing Karen Allen back for the ending of the last movie was very good. It took it full circle and it was satisfying.
Dial of Destiny is the unexpected best IMO, because it gives Indy and Marian a graceful sendoff. Otherwise it would be Last Crusade, for some of the most priceless bits ever committed to film. And for Sean Connery having fun.
I know Raiders is the obvious answer, but I had to go with Last Crusade. It’s such good screenwriting.
The opening River Phoenix sequence is just so wonderful, explaining Indy’s entire backstory and even the scar on Harrison Ford’s chin.
The jokes land so much harder than in the earlier (and later) movies because everyone knew and loved the characters so well.
“No ticket.” Indy telling Elsa “pretty sure” about seeing the Ark of the Covenant on the wall. “I was the next man.” The scene with the fireplace when Indy and Henry are tied to the chairs. “We are here to view the tapestries.” All of it is pure gold.
40 votes in, the majority of you chose… poorly.
@christinewas they could have done even more poorly
@christinewas @ybmuG Only by adding The Exploitation Episode We Do Not Name.
@christinewas I assume that you chose … well.

Dial of Destiny is easily my second favorite one.
Uh, the one with Sean Connery is the best one. Which one was that?
@milstarr Last Crusade

Star Wars
well, since we’re going to origin characters (basically same character)
American Graffiti
/image American Graffiti Harrison Ford as Bob Falfa
Although I liked the movie(s), I have to agree with Amy.
Indiana Jones and the Kit of Instant Regret
