I have all of the following items in my pocket everyday listed in order from most important to least: cellphone, earbuds, yo-yo, .multitool, wallet(with a sewing kit inside), cigarettes, lighter, paint marker or sharpie(at least 3 different colors) and keys.
@sicc574
You’ve peeked my curiosity.
I’m tempted to be nosey and ask what it is that you do for work. (or whatever you do during your awake time) That’s quite the unique assortment of stuff for a everyday pocket.
Jus sayen…
@Star2236 Once on the Click and Clack brothers radio show they were talking to a woman and told her she needed to get into her trunk to do something or other. She said that would be hard because it was really full of stuff. They asked her why. She said, “My trunk is an extension of my purse”.
None of the above. My travel wallet is hanging from my ,neck, my phone is in my hand, and keys do not play a major role in my life. My pocket contains a Mophie power bank (Thanks, meh!)and a face mask I will need to go through US Customs.
gloves, alcohol preps, extra mask,(scrub bottoms) pens/highlighter (scrub top…plus my ID badge is hanging from it). (I’m at work)
everything else (like my wallet etc) is in my backpack in the nurse’s station.
“All of the above” plus half a toolkit. I’ve found it’s easier to carry a few things around than have to go back and get them.
Small pair of pliers, very small diagonal cutters, precision screwdriver with 3 double-ended bits that store in the handle, notepad & pen, Leatherman Squirt E4 (E=electronics, a wire stripper instead of scissors), very small Swiss Army knife with a USB drive.
Why not a different/bigger multitool? I frequently have to cut cable zip ties and scissors don’t have enough leverage at the tip, and cutters at the base of plier jaws are useless. A knife has too much risk of carnage to the cables, or me.
I’ve only found one multitool with diagonal cutters, and that was a prototype SOG that never made it to production. Apparently idiots tried cutting stuff like nails or chain and managed to break the jaws, so SOG killed the project for liability concerns.
My current plan is cut down the scissors on a Gerber Shortcut I’ve got laying around, so I’ll have enough leverage.
What’s wrong with multitool screwdrivers? The body of the tool gets in the way when you’re dealing with small screws on cable connectors.
Oh yea, pocket knife. It varies - I’ve got a lot of them, but generally assisted opening, or ball bearing pivot, for one-handed opening.
Also, lotsa pockets. I’ve used ScottEVest cargo pants a lot, but lately it’s been 5.11 Icon pants. They’ve got pockets in the side pockets, and a couple of front slash pockets that are great for phone & knife.
Bold of you to assume I’m wearing pants.
@awk Well, some dresses have pockets, too.
@awk @werehatrack
and here I’mma thinkin’ the implication is Nekid.
Lint
Pockets? I’m not even wearing pants right now.
@TheGreatNico Utilikilts have pockets.
@TheGreatNico @werehatrack
Me son wears those and loves them
@TheGreatNico @werehatrack A friend has a Utilikilt, but I’m not brave enough.
Wallet, key, and a Leatherman Micra. My pants are in a different room right now, but they still hold things.
@brennyn I always have my Micra on me as well… Love it!
Keys, wallet, a lot of lint, probably some cookie crumbs in my shirt pockets, used and unused kleenex (damned allergies).
@phendrick
/giphy what’s in your wallet
@phendrick Ewwww.
@werehatrack
what… you don’t like JT?
@chienfou Nope
@werehatrack
wasn’t sure if it was him or the kleenex in the top post
Hmm… let me see. Ahhh… Ohh… Mmm… Nope, nothing there.
“What has it got in its pocketses?”
The $10 I forgot to leave on the dresser for your mom this morning.
@mike808
Thanks. She’s 90 and doesn’t get much action…
Well my hand, as I reached in to see if there was anything in there. All I found was lint!
/giphy lint
@tinamarie1974
All of the above and…
Orange golf ball, three boxes of matches, bluetooth headphones, candy wrapper, cough drop, key on a lego brick keychain.
And now all that other stuff is on my desk.

@sicc574 Wow! I’m guessing you wear cargo pants/shorts?

@Lynnerizer @sicc574 What did you do? Sew a purse to your pants?
I usually just have a wallet and cell phone these days. Maybe an emergency binkie.
Nothing that’s what my purse is for.

@Kidsandliz
Yeah don’t look in my back seat. The only time it was empty was when I got the car lol
@Star2236 My minivan is the extension of the garage/shed/storage room I don’t have.
Because I am only half ready to leave the house I have a wallet and the black version of this pen.
https://bigidesign.com/collections/pens/products/ti-arto-edc-pen
Keys on one side, pocket flashlights and folding utility knife on the other. Everything else goes in the belt pack, or if it’s an Occasion, my purse.
None of the above. My travel wallet is hanging from my ,neck, my phone is in my hand, and keys do not play a major role in my life. My pocket contains a Mophie power bank (Thanks, meh!)and a face mask I will need to go through US Customs.
@ThunderChicken So where were you that you have to go through customs?
@Kidsandliz Returning to the US after a cruise.
Currently nothing. Typically, whatever I had to pull out of the puppy’s mouth on our walk.
Wallet, Keys, Screwdriver, Fidget Spinner, box cutter, flashlight.
@PocketBrain Username checks out?
@Kyeh No @PocketBrain would need a pocket liner with pens too.
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh
I was only talkin’ pants pockets.

I learned more about some of you than I wanted to know.

@blaineg Most of my pockets contents, I left out the boring stuff like keys & wallet. Though the keys are in a KeySmart.
@blaineg I think you win for sheer quantity as well as true utility.
