You don't have mine listed. I like earbuds that have a stiff piece of wire from the earbud to about 3" down, so you can wrap the wire around your ear. Like the sport MEEI's have. And clip-on earbuds or similiar construction. The Koss KSC75's have the same kind of style. The extra holders save me from having to re-adjust them every 15 minutes. I buy new headphones or earbuds every month, and those features are what I'm looking for right now. I use earbuds every day, connected to one of my cheap sansa players.
Over the ears, preferably vacuum sealed to my skull so as to block out any outside noise. After a couple months, the office has learned my default response to unexpected physical contact is to take a swing at someone, and now my lunches are interruption free.
I wear hearing aids, so the only types of headphones that I can use are the over-the-ear type. I still get a little bit of feedback with them, but at least I can use them. I was really glad when they started coming back in style. I don't use them out in public or anything, but for a while, there weren't really any decent options in an attainable price range.
@PurplePawprints I take my hearing aids off (if I ever wear them which is about once a year) and blast my earbuds. I hate the feel of anything in my ear so ear buds work okay for me.
@Headly Mine have that capability, but you have to buy hundreds of dollars worth of 'accessories' to use it that way. My insurance pays for my hearing aids and I always have other things that are a higher priority when I have that kind of money. @conandlibrarian I can't imagine not wearing mine. Of course, my hearing loss might be more significant than yours, but if I'm awake, they're in my ears. I hate not being able to hear what's going on around me. Sleeping is a scary time.
I've avoided buying them because I have my own office and I prefer speakers, and I really have no place that I need headphones other than the gym, and that means earbuds, preferably disposable ones. Running or squatting with big headphones is dorky, and uncomfortable, plus you really need an amp with them. I have to avoid laughing out loud when I see dudes at the gym rocking big ass Beats on their dome - that is comedy on multiple levels.
I'll let you know when I TOCCs gets around to replacing the crappy ones I bought here.
I prefer behind-the-neck headphones. I really hate the over-the-head kind.
These kinds.. Earmuff headphones. Put these suckers on and you can move your head any which way..
Also, mine sound great! No tinny sounds at all.. and in the winter they also keep your ears warm.

@wew I used to have Sony earbuds like that, except it was a plastic bit that went around your ear.
@kazriko I think I have the style like yours. I would cycle with them just near my ear so I could hear the music and traffic at the same time.

@simplersimon isn't it so nice to work with people you like?
I can't really listen to headphones, what with the chip installed in my head.
@PocketBrain See, the EMF interference makes my brain go all wonky.
@PocketBrain Wait, who said that?
@PocketBrain
While i prefer over-the-ear style i have yet to find a decent pair that fit with my super cheapskate budget... so in-ear for me.
My favorite are open-backed over-ears, but I use in-ears far more often…

@PurplePawprints My dad just got super cool high tech bluetooth hearing aids. Pretty cool.

I really prefer speakers, but for headphones I prefer nice comfy over the ear with nice big drivers. Something like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AJIF4E?tag=thewire06-20&linkCode=as2&creative=374929&camp=211189

I like the ones that hook over the ear so you don't have to stick them in and hope they stay.
Is that over-ear or on-ear or still earbuds?
