@mycya4me@yakkoTDI I haven’t been there in years, but at Outback, I used to tell them “Burnt to a crispy, crackly crunch with a fine layer of white ash on the outside” so that I wouldn’t get rare instead. The best steak I ever had was at Milt’s Stage Stop, a small roadside place just east of Cedar City, Utah.
@mycya4me I sure won’t! The restaurant probably loves it - they can give you the poorest quality piece of meat and it’ll be so charred you won’t be able to tell …
@Kyeh@werehatrack@yakkoTDI I am sorry if you don’t agree with my Choice of Having my Steak/ Hamburger. cooked. So many places “their” well done is what I consider Med. I want NO Pink. So they will get it I what I consider well done… Yes I think those that don’t like it that way are a Bit Wacky. But hey if that is the way you like it. More power to ya.
But many Prefer Well Done!
@Kyeh@werehatrack@yakkoTDI But you don’t understand. When you order it "Burn It’ at the Restaurant/ NO pink inside. that is what they do. What you produced is NOT that!I did NOT say charcoal it!
@mehcuda67@mycya4me Texas air is mostly less chewy than it used to be back in the '60s, but there are places with Real Texas H-Air-itage Atmosphere if you look around a bit.
@Lynnerizer
Typically not only bake, but also convection bake. That’s one of the reasons I bake in my toaster oven as much as I do. I have a standard (tho double) wall oven … neither of which has convection.
@chienfou
I haven’t used a convection oven since I was at my parents house! Being they had an TV & appliance store we always got the newest, latest and greatest of everything, TV and appliances. It was pretty cool when they’d send someone from the manufacturer to do cooking demonstrations, we’d have tons of people lined up in the mall to learn about the product and try the food samples. Fun times!
KILL IT WITH FIRE!!
@yakkoTDI yep, when I go to Restaurant and order some kind of meat I tell him to Burn it! XX Well done.
@mycya4me Yuck!

@werehatrack Yes I tell them that You need to Burn It so at least you get it Well Done. No pink, No ability to get off the plate!
@mycya4me I sure won’t! The restaurant probably loves it - they can give you the poorest quality piece of meat and it’ll be so charred you won’t be able to tell …
@mycya4me @werehatrack @Kyeh Why the heck would you pay someone to give you burnt steak? More importantly why would you want to eat that carp?
@Kyeh and I are obviously the sanest ones in this thread.
@mycya4me @werehatrack @yakkoTDI

@Kyeh @werehatrack @yakkoTDI as I have said those that don’t like Well DONE Are quite Wacky IMHO!
@mycya4me @werehatrack @yakkoTDI Here ya go, bon appétit.
@Kyeh @mycya4me @werehatrack @yakkoTDI
From an old DC comic (where I think an old Bruce Wayne insists on ordering well-done steak)
“Enjoy your gristle, sir.”
@Kyeh @werehatrack @yakkoTDI But you don’t understand. When you order it "Burn It’ at the Restaurant/ NO pink inside. that is what they do. What you produced is NOT that!I did NOT say charcoal it!
@Kyeh @werehatrack @yakkoTDI I use a Mini George Forman grill. It cooks my food perfect, NO Charcoal!
@mycya4me @werehatrack @yakkoTDI Well, it sounds like a waste of good steak to me, but whatever!
Ummm . . . air fryer . . .
Reheat
Bagel only toasts the inside of the bagel if the bagel is inserted properly. Toast does it from the front and the back.
Does it go to 11?
KuoH
@kuoh According to the specs, it has eleven settings…
@werehatrack It’s one hotter, isn’t it?
KuoH
Pizza.
It would depend on the type of air I need to fry.
@werehatrack yes!!
@mycya4me @werehatrack Have you been collecting bags of Texas air? I heard it’s great with steak.
@mehcuda67 @werehatrack I know I have not, As I have not been to Texas before, No plans in the near future!
@mehcuda67 @mycya4me Texas air is mostly less chewy than it used to be back in the '60s, but there are places with Real Texas H-Air-itage Atmosphere if you look around a bit.
Storage
Air fry.
Nothing, just another place to put a pan.
Off
Bake! Does it have a bake feature? Air fryer would be my second choice.

Are we still talking about lube?
@OnionSoup Are you using the royal “we”?
Air fry. If you don’t use it that way, it’s just a big expensive toaster-oven.
Off.
@806D2701 Also known as power saving mode.
@806D2701 @yakkoTDI And the ultimate power-and-money-saving mode is “just don’t buy one in the first place”.
Needs a “decapitate” feature.
