@pakopako@phendrick Well there’s a guy in England that sued to get his bitcoin hard drive back from the dump. He lost, so spend a few nights (years) digging and you might find it.
@rockblossom about 10 years ago I got a home TV that supported 3D. It came with two polarized glasses for viewing. At the time many new Blu-Ray movie disc sets included a 3D disc in addition to the “normal” disc.
To this day I never actually bothered to try the 3D. The discs are still sitting there in the living room to try someday, maybe….
Code name Ginger. Stupid Segways were supposed to “revolutionize” transportation and we all waited and waited. Well, I guess maybe they did at least for tourists taking “walking tours”.
@sdencar fun story. A lifetime ago when I was in college, I saw two police officers patrolling around campus on Segways. One fell off and tried to get back on and fell off again and tried to get back on and fell off again. Both his partner and myself were laughing.
When I was a kid, I thought we’d be living like the jetsons someday soon. In someways we are, we have FaceTime like they did their video calls (which I always thought was cool), smart homes, AI, digital assistance and robots that do work in factories just not at home yet.
So do we still sell dehydrated water?
Microwavable metal bowls?
Electric-powered bottles?
@pakopako
Yes to all 3. For the first, you can buy a sponge and leave it out in this humidity. Facsimiles of the other 2 have been on Meh lately.
Yes, disappointed in crypto currency, bc my piggy bank hasn’t any Bitcoins.
(wee, wee, wee, alllll the way home).
@phendrick like the modern version doubloon hunting, there’s bound to be a laptop with a few dozen inside somewhere in England
@pakopako I’d rather do my digging in Silicon Valley, but probably California laws against that.
@pakopako Elon probably stashed a bunch in low earth orbit.

Anything that spies, tracks and collects data on you. Phones, cars, TV’s, ‘wearables’ like FitBit, etc. And HACKERS!!!

@sdencar “They will design cities around this!”
I saw at least two of the choices.
/showme Realistic, looking cats, using VR goggles, while riding hoverboards, trying to spend crypto currency
@mediocrebot where did human hand come from?
@mycya4me street food vendor.
@kittykat9180 But I don’t use them.
@mycya4me it appears that cats using VR goggles while riding hoverboards, trying to spend crypto currency do.
@kittykat9180 Yep, Smart Cats! It is just the AI included a human hand out of No where!

AI.
More people voted for hoverboards than cryptocurrency??
@PooltoyWolf Get back to me when hoverboards hover.
@blaineg @PooltoyWolf But nobody really expected their “Hoverboard” to hover, did they? Surely they always understood it was a marketing ploy, right?
Or are you suggesting there are people out there who might actually be expecting a Cybertruck to cyber or truck?
@blaineg @xobzoo Hahahaha!
@PooltoyWolf @xobzoo I’ve seen the Back to the Future historical documents, and I know what a hoverboard is!
Nintendo Virtual Boy is the correct answer.
