It looks to me like Woot asked followers to send them crap. An idea stolen from Mediocre? Bet they didn't send out gift cards like Mediocre. Sometimes being mediocre can be superior.
This started with the Birthday celebration, you bought the Bag of Shirt Crap, that came with a puzzle piece, that everyone put together in a thread, that led to a URL, that let us buy a secret letter, that led to another puzzle, that we put together in a thread, that asked us to send stuff to woot. There is another phase to this, we don't know what it is yet.
@Thumperchick I actually like this particular bit of Wooticana, I think it's clear they're doing something fun and different and it's working. That said, I also wouldn't even slightly blame anyone for being confused either. The thread at Woot that kinda-sorta explains it is currently 119 pages long. It's not exactly easy to dive into for anyone who missed it, so befuddlement is understandable.
@Thumperchick i blame @studerc for this being way too drawn out and complicated. i'm a good american i expect immediate gratification or its crap! @meh take note simple fun fast!!

I was curious because YouTube thrust the video in my face and told me to watch it. Dunno why because I do not look at Woot videos. These days it's all Tom Petty and Honest Trailers.
@Teripie Yeah, IDK why woot even has that video listed on their channel. It's just a few hours of watching skemmis and adq talk about crap people sent them. Fun for those who sent in, but useless to most everyone else.
@Thumperchick By the way, do you know if all the letters have been sent out? I paid for it but never got one, so I'm not really sure if I should send in a thing anyway or just wait for the next phase.
@Starblind The letters were all sent out in one big batch a few weeks ago. I think yours got lost in lala land. You should hit up ADQ in the forums. Also, for most of the puzzlers, the next phase has started. If you don't know what I'm talking about... you should definitely ask ADQ.
I was part of that event for a while, even paying a dollar for the letter, but Woot getting me to pay them to tell me to send them free stuff just rubbed me the wrong way, especially since I had heard about meh sending people $20.
I considered sending woot an envelope with a single letter and number, plus a request for them to send $15 or so to get the remainder of the message, which would tell them to send me free stuff. But I missed the deadline.
@darksaber99999 They are doing another unboxing video next week. They still have tons of stuff coming in. They only opened ~100 packages, but there were several hundred people involved.
I uh got my letter just a few days ago. still need to send the box, not sure what's going in there though it will probably involve some of my stuff I've been hoarding for Meh exchanges
Ha. How funny that I wanted to see what this was so clicked at some random point about halfway through and it happened to be right as they look at the label and say "Oh, it's from @Lichme"

I believe that is what they refer to as an ageing drag queen. I could be wrong, I often am.
