Got 60cc of lactated ringers in Opie’s back. Got Rocky to take his terbinafine, he took those chewable meds for six days with no problem, now he’s turning his nose up at them. Bobby got his anti-biotic, Sagwa got his thyroid med and his pain med.
I made breakfast, did the dishes, ordered some dollar fonts from fontbundles and trolled some GOP folks over on Twitter.

I may have killed my Jeep. On the way home tonight unhappy noises started. I stopped at a grocery parking lot and found out the oil light was burned out (ran the self test) and the level was very low. I bought oil at the store to fill it back up but damage done; there’s a definite knock coming from the engine.
The warning light appears to not be working… taking it to a shop tomorrow for diagnosis. And renting a car to get to work… Some accomplishment.
I’ve run my car on no oil several times. I had a leak and at one point I was putting in 4 quarts of oil a week. Finally got it fixed and meh car seems to be running fine.
@jst1ofknd I’m still hopeful that its not an internal engine knock. I hoped to make it through the winter. I don’t want to go car shopping on a ‘need it right away’ basis. And getting sent out to customer sites for work is increasing a lot so I have to know it will keep running and not crap out on the tollway.

At least it was a nice walk from the shop to the rental place; weather was perfect, and the car rental gave me half a tank of gas because it took too long to have the car ready.
I managed to catch up with the instructor in the ceramics studio at the art museum so I could do a little finishing work on the sculpture I spent the last several classes making. I cooked ravioli in tomato basil sauce with skillet chicken and Italian sausage topping and took it to a friends’ house for my dog’s weekly therapeutic playdate with their timid shelter dog. I successfully completed day 2 of my new diet which meant no ravioli for me. I also took my probiotics.
I worried about a fire that was about 1/4 of a mile away from work. Luckily, it was very minor, but when I heard they were closing part of the freeway in both directions, I began to worry about how I was getting home.
Packed a ton of shit to move yesterday. Also didn’t kill anyone, didn’t decide an apartment fire was the solution to the fact that I only have 3 days left to pack (can’t pack today due to other stuff), and cuddled cats.
Took my probiotics and enzymes, will take my daily multi after breakfast. Sitting outdoors in the cool spring weather watching the dogs play and eating my healthy but uninspiring breakfast. When I’m done, time to assemble the Broken Token inserts for Lords of Waterdeep and Terraforming Mars that I won in tournaments at the last game convention. Go to lunch with a friend and figure out how to adhere to my diet at a restaurant, go and see the new Predator movie, do some shopping. Come home and clean house and pack for a weekend gaming convention in Tucson.
Dropped kid off at train station for his commute to school, drove over some large bolt-type thingy that stuck in my tire on the way home. On way to get tire repaired, heard bolt-type thingy come out of tire and within seconds had a flat tire.
Couldn’t get flat off, so tow truck had to be called. Waiting to hear from repair shop when car will be ready and what it will cost me.
So now I’m almost finished putting together my retro kitchen table and chairs that came in last night. I’m redoing my kitchen to 50s early 60s. I decided I’ve had a pretty…life altering year and I just wanted something fun for a change. Don’t know how long I’ll keep it but for now I’m enjoying shopping for it. This is just a stock photo of the set.
@lseeber I had the same set with coca cola logos on it. My ex was into Coke. Decent furniture. Wasn’t my style, at all. I vaguely remember assembling it.
Yeah. funny thing. I remember the originals as a kid. Never really liked it. but… I need a little fun. Been thru a lot the past yr.
It doesn’t go with anything else in the house, lol… but it is what it is. Might keep it a yr… might keep it 5. I’m gonna put up some Norman Rockwell prints and I’ve got some neon 50s signage, etc. I just need a jukebox now, lol.

A friend of my mother’s entered the name Spangles and won the contest. The prize was a trip to Hawaii. I still think that she should have negotiated for .001% of the profits. She’d be a very wealthy lady today. But that was not a prize option of the contest, only in my daydreams.
