@djslack This was a topic on Howard Stern 17 years ago. The blonde in the video, Jackie, is a friend of mine. She was absolutely my first thought when I saw this question. And she’s just as gorgeous today.
Generally I want nothing bedazzled. However, I would like one large tree near my house bedazzled. I’m surrounded by woods and would like to see that glimmer every now and then. Prettier than a yarn bomb.
@RiotDemon I like that. I have a bunch of beads and crystals I’ve been collecting to do the same. I have about 10lbs now. But… fixing to move soon, so… after I move!!
@lseeber was looking at this curtain since it has twelve 6’ strands. They’re easy to take apart and add length with fishing line or whatever. I have an oak tree that I want to dangle these from. I guess I would need some kind of weight at the bottom.
@RiotDemon I have the split sinkers for fishing that I plan on using. Not too heavy but heavy enough. Or I thought about large washers and I have that mirror spray paint.
@compunaut those are actually smaller than the ones that come with the curtain, so maybe they don’t need a weight.
@lseeber the split sinkers sound good if I need some weight. The other thought I had was to buy sticky little mirrors and just stick them to each other with fishing line in-between.
@RiotDemon Careful; those curtain ‘spangles’ are very thin, lightweight plastic discs that have a metallic finish (imagine 3-5 layers of heavy-duty foil). Those 1" mirrors from Joann’s are actually glass, so quite a bit heavier.
The idea using sinkers is a good one, tho not bedazzled
@lseeber I just ordered 200 sticky mirror squares and about 36 shiny butterflies from eBay. Cost me about $8. Maybe next year I’ll finally get around to this and if it lasts a year, I’ll be happy.
@RiotDemon Prob last a couple of yrs depending on where you are. It’ll still be pretty to look at! (when they fade out spray them with the mirror paint)

@djslack My bedazzled scrotum.
@djslack for the low low price of $1.69. I remember people paying upwards of twenty bucks for this garbage.

@RiotDemon I’m sad to see not all their prices end in .69 though… It would have been a good gimmick.

@lseeber
I’m going to search for the mirror strings again. Hopefully I can find some inexpensive ones because last time I searched it was expensive.

@RiotDemon I wonder how much that will drive the birds nuts? lol. Nice tho!

@compunaut hmmm… Then maybe they won’t survive outside.
@compunaut @RiotDemon I thought about that one also… sticking 2 mirrors together.
