Reading my RSS feeds mostly. Right now I'm using it to participate in the meh forums while sitting on the couch watching a Giants game. I keep my recipes (including my cocktail recipes) and a journal of what cocktail and dinner we have every night. I do a lot of reading/email in bed and play games a little. My wine database is in here. It's one of the devices I use for controlling the home automation. I have a lot of WWDC videos loaded up to watch when I have the time. In short, I like my iPad plenty and use it a lot.
Which one? NookHD+ for playing WWF and testing newer boot from SD CM builds. i700qw for watching movies with VLC over WiDi. Surface Pro for sketching. Venue 8 Pro for ... well, nothing yet. I miss the Thinkpad X41t...it did just about everything except WiDi. RIP 2014.
@ACraigL Ah, my 2012 Nexus 7 is too cranky to depend on for that. I got this last fuku w my laptop. I waited until the church nearby struck 12, and then refreshed...
I use various tablets for testing purposes. I realized I didn't like them (too heavy for one-handed use, one-handed typing, etc) and don't think I'll ever own one.
Mine is my everything travel companion. I use it daily to watch video on my rail commute, ebook reader, video game/time waster, email and web surfing.
Currently have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" and it's really impressive from a performance and design perspective. I've had several tablets over the years and this is by far my favorite.
I have a cheap tablet that doesn't really do a lot. I prop it up on my NanoTek stands and hook it up to my X-Mini speaker to play Pandora or Netflix while I'm cleaning and fixing my house. Way easier than moving my laptop from room to room
Writing Commandments.
I could have also said "Popping wood" (the Viagra "tablet"). In fact, that'd be the better answer tonight . . . :)
@Pavlov That was my first thought too.
You forgot the most obvious answer.
Replacing my PC when I'm out.
Knitting pattern storage.
And games.
My Commandments are understood, no need to write them. ;)
THOU SHALT NOT... hang on, buffering...
Still haven't found a need for one. I might use one if I had it but I don't miss having one between using the phone and the laptop.
I get the most mileage (hah) out of in-car navigation. A close second is Bluetoothing sweet, sweet tunes to my Onkyo TX-NR535 or shower speaker.

I use mine for visiting meh.com in the middle if the night.
@sligett I do that as well. 3 for 3 on Fuku's with the thing as well!

Pandora or other music, usually via Bluetooth.
