@Cythwulf@moonhat They’re all the same thing, you dummy! A kitty is not two dogs! A kitty is a cat, and a cat is not a dog.
I am going to guess that they are the weights of all three hams you have in your refrigerator right now.
@Cythwulf@moonhat@therealjrn You know that feeling when you’ve been trying at a puzzle for a really long time, and you finally see the answer and it’s staring you right in the face and you wonder why you didn’t see it before? And it’s not as nice as actually figuring out the puzzle yourself, but there is a smaller sense of satisfaction and closure?
I have felt that feeling many times in my life, on days that are not this one.
@Cythwulf@moonhat@therealjrn At least with war and tic-tac-toe, you have a sense of what you’re getting into at the start, and know that the only real winning move is not to play.
@Cythwulf@moonhat@therealjrn And while we’re on the topic, I’m going to come out and say that Gollum was right. It was NOT fair for Bilbo to ask what he had in his pocket. That’s not a riddle!
My initial guess was the correct one but TC got here long before me.
Mine are in the ballpark of 117 74 54ish, and ~100 if I throw in total cholesterol.
The BP is thanks to an ARB (no idea what it would be now without the snake venom) and the heart rate hasn’t dropped below 50 since 2007 (plus I got a card for free handjobs at airports). My cholesterol has always been wonky (HDL of 26 is about as high as I can get it, even with 2g of niacin a day) so I use a low-dose statin to knock the LDL down enough to get the ratio under 5:1.
I want the bull shit numbers that will win the next lottery. Please whisper them to me now (in advance of the next drawing). I will share the bounty with you when I win.
@therealjrn No, though, as it happens, I did used to live near I-20 and a highway 69.
If you weren’t from around there, sometimes it would be hard to tell if you were on highway 69, because college students kept stealing the signs.
@Limewater Nobody else is guessing? I guess ol’ Al Bundy killed the game with his glorious football jersey numbers. I bet his mom would have had a shot at getting it right.
OK, let’s see, non-permanent numbers for “today.”
Not enough numbers for the lotto. And our quick pick 3 lottery numbers don’t go up that high–at least here.
Imma guess they are representative of todays outdoor temperature, using different scales of measurement.
@therealjrn You are so close I would almost give this one to you, but take another stab or two.
One number is related, but different than the other two. Still generally grouped together.
@stardate820926@therealjrn Congratulations. You win no points.
This was the local forecast high and low temperatures, along with the chance of rain for today.
@shahnm We’re currently in development of a complex code system utilizing current weather patterns, pop song references and schoolboy football jersey numbers. It appears to be rather promising, especially when factoring in the obscurity of the last item. Apparently, the only people able to make the connection are the schoolboys themselves, as they relive their fleeting, small glories for the fighting gnats, for example.
@shahnm Ah! Very interesting! I had not heard that version before. True story… Actually took the little ones to see Haywood Banks in concert many, many years ago. It was very amusing to say the least. Got to chat with him afterward and get his autograph. Great guy!
BP & Heart rate
@Thumperchick
That was quick. 1000 meaningless points right off the bat.
@jst1ofknd My first was cholesterol, then I realized the middle number was low and last number a bit higher than average for that.
Nice BP! Mine tends towards 100/60 but my heartrate runs a bit high.
@Thumperchick
I’m on pills and that’s my morning measurement… Typically it’s higher…
7, 49, and 50!
I’ll call and award 1000 points if you can guess what those numbers are.
@Cythwulf age of you, your spouse, and your child
@12liny
@Cythwulf you, your significant other, and your grandchild’s ages
@Cythwulf

@moonhat
I think you guys massively overguesstimate my age.
@Thumperchick You’re not wrong, but you’re not right.
@Cythwulf ok. The year you were born, the year you started walking, and your dogs age.
@Cythwulf Your locker combination.
@Cythwulf What you say right before “Ready or not, here I come!” when playing hide-and-seek with your nephew.
@Cythwulf You counting reps audibly in the gym.
@Cythwulf
Those numbers are 7, 49, and 50. You can send my points to the address on file, thanks.
@moonhat Not even close.
@therealjrn Nope, but you’re headed in the right direction, sort of.
@Limewater Solid guesses, but nope.
@Ignorant You are also not wrong but not right.
@Cythwulf @Limewater @moonhat @therealjrn so no points?
@Cythwulf Ok. How about this? The statute of limitations in years, the age of the judge who sentenced you and the age of your lawyer?
@Ignorant not unless you guess right.
@therealjrn Wrong way. You’ve lost the trail, methinks.
@Cythwulf The balances of your checking, savings, and investment accounts, in that order, in dollars.
@Cythwulf Distance, in yards, you are legally required to keep away from your ex, schools, and Brendan Frazier, respectively.
@Cythwulf The number of times you’ve watched Bright, Avatar, and Birdemic, respectively.
@Limewater Nope, nope, and nope again.
@Cythwulf Did you check my diagonals? Maybe one of them is right.
@Cythwulf Maryland, Alaska, and Hawaii.
@Cythwulf Rick Wrona, Rob Dibble, Scott Bankhead
@Limewater None of the posts so far have correctly guessed.
@llangley Nope, and further, I don’t know who any of those people are.
@Cythwulf Blood sugar in mmol/L, grams of carbs in your breakfast, and how many units of insulin you gave yourself.
@Limewater Nope-a-mundo
@Cythwulf Sean Connery sawing Barbara Feldon almost perfectly in half.
@Limewater
@Cythwulf Yeah, I’m bored with this. Do something else to amuse me please.
@Cythwulf
This is what I come up with by Googling.

@Cythwulf @mehbee @Thumperchick
It could be

7 X 7 X 1
7 X 7 + 1 X 1
@jst1ofknd Nope.
@thumperchick Nope.
@jst1ofknd
@Cythwulf Length of your left femur. Length of your right Femur. Length of your johnson.
All in centimeters, probably not in that order.
@Limewater Not even a little bit correct.
If it helps at all, the numbers are all the same thing.
@Cythwulf
They are all line markers on a football gridiron.
You can not possibly tell me that is wrong, because they are. They may not be what YOU were thinking of, but I AM RIGHT.
@therealjrn I’ll echo my earlier sentiment to a number of people:
@Cythwulf Quit being such a douche and give us better clues then, slick.
@Cythwulf the weights of your kitty, and your 2 dogs.
@moonhat Nope. I only have the 1 dog.
@therealjrn The numbers were my football jersey numbers. 7 freshman year, 49 sophomore year, and 50 junior and senior years.
@Cythwulf @moonhat They’re all the same thing, you dummy! A kitty is not two dogs! A kitty is a cat, and a cat is not a dog.
I am going to guess that they are the weights of all three hams you have in your refrigerator right now.
@Cythwulf @moonhat
I don’t even care anymore. Thanks anyway. Were you somebody famous we should have followed the football career of?

@Cythwulf @moonhat @therealjrn You know that feeling when you’ve been trying at a puzzle for a really long time, and you finally see the answer and it’s staring you right in the face and you wonder why you didn’t see it before? @Cythwulf @Limewater @moonhat
So much THIS. Some kind of obscure childhood reference? Who the fuck DOES that?
@Limewater wow, it is WAY too early in the morning for you to be yelling at me
@moonhat Sorry if I offended. After 24 hours, I thought it was in the spirit of the puzzle.
@Limewater not offended. Spirited is good
@Cythwulf @moonhat @therealjrn And while we’re on the topic, I’m going to come out and say that Gollum was right. It was NOT fair for Bilbo to ask what he had in his pocket. That’s not a riddle!
@Cythwulf @Limewater @moonhat I know that took courage to say Limewater, but you are absolutely correct.
/Cue the Bilbo apologists.
@Cythwulf @Limewater @moonhat @therealjrn
Yeah. Not fair, not a riddle.
But then Gollum bought in, and accepted the challenge. And demanded mods which Bilbo agreed to.
After that, all’s fair.
That chapter is actually very well written.

@thismyusername I was going to say this…
@thismyusername Have they won a lottery yet?
@Kidsandliz @thismyusername Yeah, but my winnings got Lost in the mail.
@Kidsandliz Hurley won… sorta…
I want the bull shit numbers that will win the next lottery. Please whisper them to me now (in advance of the next drawing). I will share the bounty with you when I win.
I’ve got numbers for you.
What was the VIN number of my first car?
What was the license plate number of my first boss Bob’s car?
Oh wait, better. How many miles did my family travel?
@therealjrn
Sorry. I can’t do that right now.
/giphy 2001 HAL
OK, I’ll give this a shot, in recognition of the miniscule chance that, perhaps, I was overly-harsh on @Cythwulf.
Today’s numbers are 93, 69, and 20.
No points for the right answer.
@Limewater Highways near your home?
@therealjrn No, though, as it happens, I did used to live near I-20 and a highway 69.
If you weren’t from around there, sometimes it would be hard to tell if you were on highway 69, because college students kept stealing the signs.
But no, these are not permanent numbers.
@Limewater Now I too, want a 69 sign.
@Limewater Nobody else is guessing? I guess ol’ Al Bundy killed the game with his glorious football jersey numbers. I bet his mom would have had a shot at getting it right.
OK, let’s see, non-permanent numbers for “today.”

@Limewater @therealjrn Temperature, Humidity, and Chance of Rain?
@stardate820926 Oh I do like that guess.
@stardate820926 @therealjrn Two out of three ain’t bad…
Though, actually, you’re closer to 1/2.
To further clarify, one of those three is absolutely correct.
Maybe go back and look again at the question as I posed it.
@Limewater @therealjrn High Temp, Low Temp, and Chance of Rain?
@Limewater What geographic region of the US are we discussing?
@stardate820926 @therealjrn Congratulations. You win no points.
This was the local forecast high and low temperatures, along with the chance of rain for today.
@Limewater @stardate820926
STARDATE WINS!!! STARDATE WINS!!! WHOO HOO!
@therealjrn This was the local forecast for my zip code, which is in the southeastern United States.
@Limewater That information might have helped, but stardate was already on it.
@Limewater @therealjrn Yay!! At least I win at something, I’m currently 0-2 in fantasy football.
@Limewater @therealjrn
BUT were those highways near your home in '93?
@Kidsandliz @therealjrn Yes, they were.

@carl669 For a good time call…
@therealjrn and, it’s a prime number, so bonus.
@carl669 It is amazing to me that in my head I sang that even before I consciously realized what it was…
@shahnm it’s pretty much a reflex at this point.
@carl669 @shahnm
@carl669 @therealjrn Are you using this secret coded message to summon any particular Mehtizen, perchance…?
