Microcenter has been selling Apple AirPods for about a month for $119, but they’re the wired case version.

Maybe they bought part of the inventory of a store that went belly up? Or got to buy some wholesale and are choosing not to mark it up as much as retail does? Or …I know… an airplane was flying low over meh headquarters, buzzed the building and when they went outside they saw a big pallet being dropped with a parachute and found someone had mistakenly dropped these rather than dope… Oh wait the drug drop I had seen at sea years ago (off of Key West in the national marine park) it looked more like bales and not a pallet and no parachute since it was going to be a splash landing. And yes the lot of us were scared they’d see us. Fortunately we were in the mangroves so less obvious, didn’t have the anchor lights on, everybody shut up and went below except those of us who worked on the ship.

@chienfou LOL. Years ago when I was working in Key West on a top sail schooner Jimmy Buffett was actually down there at the time. Passengers had seen him his bar. Then when we were both leaving the small harbor at the same time, he rafted his sailboat with us for a while while we were underway and then took off. Unfortunately for us he didn’t sing us anything.

@madanthony Well this was in the 80’s so I’d have presumed they finally would have gotten caught and gone to jail. Maybe their kids were part of that toothbrush ring (grin).
… and they’re sold out, not surprisingly.
