@tinamarie1974 I have said that I am in the south, But NOT what part of the South! So Yes I a very knowledgeable about Southern weather. Especially the short maybe month or 2 of cold weather with Near spring starting most of the time in Feb, But I have seen snow late Feb. But if we get any most of the time it has been a Dusting! Last year we had more than the previous year, an extra thick dusting!
I’m glad the upper 90s are gone and temps are upper 50s/low 60s for my morning run. Once we’re in 20s in the morning I have to shift to running at lunchtime.
Here it is still hot has hell here with high humidity. Here in the arm pit of the nation we don’t get the kind of Fall we got up north where I grew up (snow belt). Here we go from hot as hell to hot to browned out leaves sometime in Nov (aka Fall) to finally not as hot (so called Winter), to spring and geting hotter to hot as hell again (6 or so months of hot as hell summer).
Yes we have. Next up a different month.
@yakkoTDI again? same stuff seems to happen every few weeks.
It is still Summer in the South, heat and humidity, fall will not start till Oct.
@mycya4me Southwest here no humidity but the temperature won’t fall till Thanksgiving
@mycya4me not the south, its still hot and humid until Mother Nature decides to change it up. Could be next month, could be november, who knows.
@mycya4me One more month of Hell

@mycya4me exactly… Fall doesn’t start until Thanksgiving. Winter starts the day after Xmas. Spring begins end of February.
@mycya4me Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was talking about ME and Meh-souri.
@OnionSoup I can agree with that!
do you rememba
@shahnm Not reflective enough, so…
(I guess “reflective” maybe equals “maudlin”. )
@phendrick @shahnm I don’t follow…
@macromeh @phendrick I just posted a song called “September”. It wasn’t any deeper than that…

Here’s a good one:
@Kyeh @phendrick @shahnm Nice. Also, there’s this classic version:
@macromeh @phendrick @shahnm
I hadn’t heard his version. There’s Sinatra and Willie Nelson too, but I LOVE Sarah Vaughn - what a voice.
Fall doesn’t start here for another few months.
IT’S METEOROLOGICAL FALL!
@mossygreen I welcome the fall of all lying meteorologists.
@OnionSoup WORD PLAY!
@mossygreen METEOROLOLOLGICALOLLY
Um… Did we go through Winter and Spring this year? I must have dozed off for while.
Mixed feelings - looking forward to less heat and fall colors, not looking forward to losing the greenery and flowers and such.
@Kyeh Same. Don’t look forward to the dark either
@callow @Kyeh I’ll miss the bugs and frogs singing at night. It’s too quiet in winter.
@callow @Kyeh @sammydog01
Maybe these will tide you over:
In two weeks the town I live in will at least double in population for a damn rodeo! Yee haw

@Kidsandliz Ahhh. I love Florida too!
How did it show up so soon?
/giphy too early
September is usually just August part two, with more hurricanes.
