Also, I really like these brushes. When the ones from my first three pack went away (given away and wife did something with others) I ordered another set from morningsave. So I really don’t need 3 more. But I’m still tempted because I know those are also not permanent.
@djslack only an A because math: $21 for watch - $15 for brushes = $6 for replacement watch.
But the write up for the 3-in-1 charger cord last week was also an A+.
/giphy really good write-ups
@djslack@mollama good write ups, but again, bad editing. Seriously, nobody spotted that math problem? And then there’s “Tis a set Wet Brush Set”. I mean, come on.
@dam091 true on the editing. I actually forgive the grammar since I figure w a deal-a-day discount site they don’t have budget for an editor. So while Math is WAY more important that language skills, I should probably be consistent: either A+ forgiving the math error, or start picking on all the grammar errors.
I’m too lazy to monitor for that, so A+ it is.
@mommacomet I agree! And they’re the only kind of brush my long-haired 13-year-old will use consistently, since they don’t “hurt” even when there are tangles.
A “Wet Brush Pro”? Please. You might as well be brushing your hair with three rusty nails sticking out of a two-by-four, you barely-washed philistines.
@Jayds818 This brand specifically or do you mean just in general on other brushes of this type? I haven’t had a problem with others of this type, but have never used this brand. Tempted to order some though. Unless you’re saying specifically the Wet brand has a quality problem.
@Jayds818@pmarin My first one lost it’s beads really quickly. I realized it was because I used it while blowdrying/styling. I used my second one without the hair dryer and it’s been good.
The other day at dinner, daughter confessed to using son’s towel as her hair towel. Son said that’s OK, he uses daughter’s towel to mop up stray shower water outside tub.
I ordered these last time Meh had them on sale, and was astonished at how well they work. Their problem is you have to actually use them to realize what a game-changer they are. I gave one to my cousin who has long straight hair and she was initially unimpressed, until she used it. Then she couldnt stop raving about how she had not brushed her hair wet in forever. Then she went to CVS and bought 2 more to stockpile. They run about $14 at the drug store. In for another set for her and me. Love these things.
This has been our experience, too. We got a small (travel-sized?) Wet brush as a gift for the toddler and I had been ignoring it in favor of a plastic comb. Then one day I tried it and was very surprised that it requires less pulling, causes less hair loss, and creates far less squirming. Now it’s my favorite for after bathtime and I’ve demoted all the combs to “diaper bag” status.
Though I’m not one to proselytize l’ll just mention that I snapped up a set of 3 as soon as I saw them up. For $5 ea they work well enough it’s an instant buy.
@mediocrebot@pmarin@revamp does look good, what do we have here? mixed bean salad with pancetta, pine nuts, basil, tomato, fresh mozarella, am I missing anything?
@mediocrebot@pmarin@robson I’m not sure there’s any beans in it–i think it’s just edamame and pine nuts. Either way, between that pasta dish, the olive oil, and that crusty bread, Meh has me HUNGRY
I bought a couple of these the last time they were here and tried one on my Papillon…a dog with long, silky hair who really didn’t like being brushed…until I brushed her with one of these brushes. My sister has a Papillon, too, and she REALLY hated to be brushed…until my sister used one of these brushes on her. So I ended up with two dog brushes until I bought one for myself locally…for $12.
I have one. What I like is they do work to brush out tangled wet hair with little pulling. What I don’t like is that unlike my other brush you can’t really feel it on your scalp. I like how my old brush feels on my scalp.
I bought the 9 pack last year because I have 3 daughters (who like to lose things). We love them! I can brush their hair without it hurting at all. I just don’t like that sometimes it seems to take forever to brush through their hair. Even if it doesn’t hurt, it can take a while to get through a tangled mess. but still worth it to not have them scream.
I have super curly hair and my mom used to yank on my hair so hard to get the knots out. I now have a head of steal so I’m not seeing the big appeal with these brushes. Also don’t really brush my bc it’s curly.
@star2236 I bought the pack of 3 cause I can’t resist and I remember at least once I brushed my hair this year so maybe it will be good. Basically I just got old and scraggly and don’t really care anymore. Bah! (need a new site for old curmudgeons… bah.com – nevermind it’s already taken. At least they have booz there.)
No thanks, I’m still using a very nice (but expensive- $40 originally, now $200) Mason & Pearson boar bristle hairbrush I bought 40 years ago. Some thing last, many do not.
@MrNews Yes, tell that to the boar. He didn’t last. But his bristles did!
(not trying to be a PETA person or anything, I remember when boar bristle brushes were “the thing” and I bet there are still cases where that might be the best type of brush for certain kinds of hair and styling. My mother used to be a wholesaler of brushes among other hair items often sold in drugstores and markets, so learned a lot about brushes and combs. There were also combs cut from animal bone. Probably not popular anymore…
@pmarin Well I do favor humane treatment of animals, but somehow I think a wood-and-bristle brush is, in the long run, far better for the planet than plastic, nylon, and other chemically produced products. And apparently, the boars that produce brush bristles are sheared like sheep, live long lives, and are extremely well cared for. Chemistry does produce some “better living,” but wood, cotton, bones, boar bristles, etc. still feel and perform better than most chemical constructs.

Mehhhhh
Something something morningsave.
@travo my thoughts exactly
If you are supposed to use the brushes while hair is wet, wouldn’t the towel just defeat the purpose?
oooooh kinky!
Check out the other Wet offerings on morningsave if this doesn’t quite float your goat.

@dam091 @mollama i merely enjoyed it and then my review was a play on the last line.
These are the best brushes ever. You can use them with wet or dry hair.

I am very tender headed and these brushes are amazing!! They are worth far more than the sale price!
@tinamarie1974 how much more? I can charge you the difference…
Oooo! Gift pack. Does it really have a gift?
How to get excited about a brush? Perhaps if you are a cutter and crafter of hair. Or a horse.

The Gift Of The Meh-Gi.
Anti-gift if the magi:
The other day at dinner, daughter confessed to using son’s towel as her hair towel. Son said that’s OK, he uses daughter’s towel to mop up stray shower water outside tub.
So now I can solve part of the problem.

@lehigh I think the odds are though you will not solve the problem of one child torturing the other. They will just switch to a different torture
@lehigh that sounds exactly like the family dinners I used to have. Oh the memories.
only MEH excels at the brush off…

@Kidsandliz I detangle with my wet brush then give my hair a through brushing with a stiff bristle brush when it’s dry.
If these can stop my 3 and 5 year old from screaming for just 10 fewer minutes a day, well worth the $20.
