@Kidsandliz Definitely, I am old and retired, live like an animal, go to bed when I get tired (post midnight) get out of bed when I wake up, eat whenever I get hungry. Those days when the kids and grandkids convince me to meet them early for breakfast it is likely that I will go home and crash afterwards
@Cerridwyn@phendrick Nowadays isn’t is supposed to be “They/Them knows”? Or possibly, “Higher Power knows”? As to remain gender fluid?
I could personally give a crap because there are REAL problems to worry about on this earth. Just throwing it out there for the, often too-fragile P.C.-needy.
I once tried to impress a girl by telling her that I shot a man in Reno, but she saw right through it after realizing that my Ray-Ban aviators were gas station knockoffs.
I tell people my favorite color is dark green, but in reality it’s actually bright neon pink.
I have a secret shrine to Ryan Gosling.
I own an anime waifu bodypillow that I hide when people come over.
@castledev@tweezak I mean if your just going to suspend sugar and sodium caseinate in oil with some flavor compounds and preservative I find it hard to believe it can go bad in the fridge but. Just why? Idk what Starbucks is up to.
Coffee. Black. Hot.
I’m fine with Folgers or Maxwell or diner. Just keep your creamer and sugar out of my coffee
Depends what they are charging. And what I’m eating. But it’s been years, not really an eat out sort of person unless someone else wants to. Black coffee, water, orange juice, never been to one with cranberry juice on the menu but sure.
60/40 cranberry to orange. Vodka optional if needed.
50/50 apple to orange (don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it – learned that one from my son and it’s actually good)
I almost always have water when I eat out. It’s about the only time I drink water, other than at work since we aren’t allowed to drink anything else in the warehouse.
just water please. (still. with ice. and a straw if you have one handy.) but as a kid? milk, and/or hot chocolate with whipped cream. as a teen, sometimes we’d go to diner places and just get milkshakes. (how riverdale of us!)
once in a blue moon and very, very dependent on the establishment i’ll get a bloody mary. but please, still also a glass of water.
Water 100% if the time, depending on the time I might have coffee. I can’t have caffeine past a certain time bc it will keep me up all night. And how do you know I’m not going to the diner for breakfast at night?
Coca Cola, not Pepsi. If they don’t serve Coke, then probably root beer or some sort of flavored carbonated lemonade drink or something. I don’t dislike coffee, I just prefer bubbles.
@jitc@Kyeh lol I didn’t expect that much drama when I used the tag but. It was cute. No idea who they are. Using ice cold coffee would be critical to carbon dioxide absorption
@jitc@unksol Well, I would use coffee that’s drinkable cold to begin with, rather than just whatever got left in the pot overnight! I like the concept… but I don’t have a Sodastream and don’t think I’d get one just for that.
@kuoh but isn’t that the syrup formerly known as Aunt Jemima? and actually not Maple syrup at all.
not many places will give you pure maple and if so it’s ones that charge $18 for pancakes. i do remember some places would sell you pure maple as an option for $2-$3 more. but that was years ago I don’t go out for breakfast much.
Someth? Sound delic.
@awk I guess they ran out of time to finish the survey.
@awk @Helot aww they fixed it that makes me sad.
A. Someone had to log in an a Sunday.
B. Leave it for posterity.
C. It was funny.
Apple Juice or Orange Juice.
Sometimes I go for hot tea.
Coffee would keep me awake all morning, so I guess iced tea
@ajdillon And being awake all morning is a problem?

Mimosas
Coffee at 99.99% of ‘diners’ is a hard no. stale, burnt, and goddess knows when that pot was washed last.
@Cerridwyn Get there just as they open for a fresh pot. Works every time.
@Cerridwyn Which goddess do you usually commune with? (Or was that just a self-referential Freudian slip?)
@Cerridwyn @phendrick Nowadays isn’t is supposed to be “They/Them knows”? Or possibly, “Higher Power knows”? As to remain gender fluid?

@phendrick @sicc574
she is known by many names,
I have read books that will truly alternate she/her and he/him when referring to a higher power - some of them written 30+ years ago.
my personnel feeling is that any higher power out there is both genderless and ageless and that we, as humans, humanize that power.
I prefer to think of her as more nourishing, less tyrannical. Others feel different. That is their privilege - and she really doesn’t care.
/youtube i walk with the goddess
@Cerridwyn the coffee pot that only ever contains coffee and is regularly filled with boiling hot coffee?
What exactly are you worried they would need to sanitize there?
Probably water. There are a couple places I go where I actually trust the coffee or cafe con leche. On rare occasions I will drink a soda.
Iced tea. The best with any breakfast (except cereal, I would take milk with that) .
Water.
But maybe milk.
Something from my flask.
What? Why are you looking at me like that?
@ShotgunX have we examined this flask for polyjuice recently? Answer some personal questions that only the two of us could possibly know.
@jsfs

Chocolate milk
I bring my own coffee, drip please.
Water or milk.
Coffee. Black. And can we still smoke indoors?
@castledev well no you can’t smoke. But the only correct coffee is black.
@castledev @unksol
Black Coffee Matters
@castledev @tweezak I mean if your just going to suspend sugar and sodium caseinate in oil with some flavor compounds and preservative I find it hard to believe it can go bad in the fridge but. Just why? Idk what Starbucks is up to.

@katbyter lmao. I forgot about the apple/orange mix we did when we were kids. If was good
@katbyter Cranberry-orange for the win.
@duodec @katbyter apple orange was good. Not if… Fail.
I can see cranberry + orange working better. Although are you using straight cranberry? Cranberry cocktail? No sugar added?
Not going to lie might drop some vodka in.
@duodec @katbyter @unksol
Something family friendly, like a Bloody Mary.
Coffee and OJ for starters. Coffee and a glass of ice cold milk with my short stack and two over easy.
@SpyreFox Keep your short stack and sub for hot grits.
Usually I’m for black coffee. It’s been a while but I used to ask for grapefruit juice. Love that! I think I’ll get some at my next breakfast outing.
chocolate milk always
I almost always have water when I eat out. It’s about the only time I drink water, other than at work since we aren’t allowed to drink anything else in the warehouse.
Water, unless it’s cold outside and then I might get a hot chocolate.
Whatever cola is on tap(Coke or Pepsi(prefer Pepsi))
Coffee. I live in a state with lots of diners, and the ones near me have decent coffee.
For as much of a coffee snob as I am, I love diner coffee. My usual order is biscuits and gravy, eggs over easy, hash browns, coffee, oj, Ice water.
@j37hr0 actually that sounds pretty good right now.
just water please. (still. with ice. and a straw if you have one handy.) but as a kid? milk, and/or hot chocolate with whipped cream. as a teen, sometimes we’d go to diner places and just get milkshakes. (how riverdale of us!)

Sweet Tea. It goes with any meal.

Hot chocolate is my go to diner breakfast drink.
Coca Cola, not Pepsi. If they don’t serve Coke, then probably root beer or some sort of flavored carbonated lemonade drink or something. I don’t dislike coffee, I just prefer bubbles.
@jitc
/youtube soda stream coffee
@jitc @unksol Ooo, now I want to try that.
@jitc @Kyeh lol I didn’t expect that much drama when I used the tag but. It was cute. No idea who they are. Using ice cold coffee would be critical to carbon dioxide absorption
Baby does not approve
@jitc @unksol Well, I would use coffee that’s drinkable cold to begin with, rather than just whatever got left in the pot overnight! I like the concept… but I don’t have a Sodastream and don’t think I’d get one just for that.
Chocolate milk!
@PooltoyWolf How TF was this not one of the options???
@fuddledumpers I know, right??
Straight up maple!
KuoH
@kuoh but isn’t that the syrup formerly known as Aunt Jemima? and actually not Maple syrup at all.

I am amazed how many people drink soda in the morning. Especially since I drink soda never. It is terrible for you.
Water, milk, OJ
