Holiday was nice, spent it handing out in the lake, coming up next week I have a couple concerts add another trip up both. Couldn’t be happier with the weather as it’s been sunny and hot. My kind of summer.
Way too HOT, Most the 4th of July celebrations had to be canceled due to the Heat (high heat index,) upcoming thunderstorms.
We are getting Aug temp & Humidity in early July!
Another vote for BUSY.
Had company over the weekend for 4th of July.
Scheduled myself to work 5 days in the ER in July.
Flying to Denver with the grandkids for a concert at Red rocks next week.
Wife teaching an ACT prep boot camp this week.
Garden is coming on strong. Figs should be ready by end of the month.
Daughter and wife spending several days for their annual mother/daughter pilgrimage. They’re headed to north Georgia this time. I’ll take advantage of the alone time to do a bunch of work out in the shop.
Sprinkle in routine lawn maintenance, the FIFA games I plan to watch and another celebration of my most recent trip around the sun and the calendar is (over)full.
Great time eating hamburgers and hot dogs with extended family and friends inside. The grill master, a young dude, handled the cooking outside. Grateful for his willingness to feed us, and for air conditioning.
My wife’s van was stolen on the first, then we got an automated call that it was located in the next county on the 5th.
We just checked it out in the impound lot and it was full of tourniquets, needles, and Amazon packages with a bunch of addresses on it. The insurance company said they were totalling it out as soon as we mentioned the needles, so now we have to figure out how much we’re getting back, how much we have yet to pay off, and what our next move is. Since we’re down to just my salary, I think it’s going to be a very used van for now. Boo to this July
@guyfromhawthorn Ooof, that’s terrible. I wish I could find a video I watched recently on the best used minivan for the bucks. It was old but reliable and shared a lot of GM drivetrain parts. HOWEVER, it looks like there are a gazillion of reviews for this stuff on youtube.
… ok, I found it …

@cfg83@guyfromhawthorn I had a Pontiac Montana. I cannot recommend this purchase. I could go into considerable detail, but that’s the fully encapsulated version.

Shouldn’t “Meh” be a required choice for these kinds of poll questions?

@catthegreat
Head and the Heart playing with the Colorado symphony. Special guest Evan Honer…
It has been too hot and now that the heat has gone away for a bit the humidity is very nasty.
But I’m getting married on Thursday afternoon and I’m the happiest I’ve been in decades, with so much to look forward to…
@baqui63
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals.
And excellent choice for a wedding date.
I’ll turn 71 that day!
Too hot and too humid. Also, the one day I have plans for people to come hang at the pool, it is supposed to rain.

@guyfromhawthorn @werehatrack Thank you! The more info, the better.
USMNT trounced by Belgium 4-1. Hate to see them end their run this way.
@chienfou Maybe you should BLAME someone?!?!?
