Well Meh has been around for about a week now, whatcha think?
16In the past week I've seen quite a few ups and downs around these parts but now things seem to be mellowing out. The swearing debacle seems to have evened the fuck out, the woot/meh tension has eased, and the forums continue to buzz. Personally, I'm pretty stoked with this new community and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes around the bend. But it's probably going to be the worst, Mehricans unite!

I love it here, to be honest. I have a feeling my bank account will be less than happy as time goes on, but right now, we're still in the Honeymoon phase.

Well, in a week I've placed 4 orders (not counting the Funkijunki bag), so there you go. I really tried to keep my expectations modest, but wow, the spark really re-ignited. Good mix of dirt cheap impulse buys and good deals on pricier items. Hilariously awesome product descriptions just like the old days. Fun & quirky videos that don't try too hard. Congratulations: against all odds, you re-lit the fire. The magic is back.
Specific points of awesome:
1. Great product mix so far. Some cheap, some not, but everything has been a good deal.
2. Good call not backing down on the swearing issue. This is not my great-grandmother's daily deal site. That is a good thing.
3. Thanks for not doing any annoying social media carrot-dangling nonsense.
Stuff to fix:
1. Put a link to order history somewhere on the "My account" page.
2. Allow more letters in the Reply option in the forums. It's a reply, not a fortune cookie.

Only a week and already this has replaced another deal(s)-a-day web site as my first visit during morning coffee. In another week, I may not even visit that other site. Haven't bought much there recently and there is just too much crap to wade through (and very little crap in bags any more). I do want "The Binge" t-shirt though.

The deals have been good, and I think that's the key to the whole thing. If meh were woot, they would've priced that little speaker $5-$10 higher, but they didn't. I'm sure meh made their margin, but they priced it aggressively so that they'd sell out of it, which was kinda the entire point in the old days.
In summary, stay exactly like this.
